I’ve been called ‘mysterious’ by a few members on this site and I have been that for certain reasons, but I have also been very open to people who chose to get to know me better than my few hundred blogs which were mostly fantasy.
‘A heart like a lion,’ that’s the real me; at least once I’ve let you in, past all the defences erected purely for my own protection. But I find that I’ve made a mistake and somehow I’ve lost a very dear friend. I’m not sure why this happened, but it’s left me rather headshot. I don’t like to get close to people for this reason; I find that I take people to heart, so when they’re gone, it hurts like hell!
Then all I am left with is an ugly black hole and my guard back up even more than it was before. Walls of steel surround me, huge barricades, making it even more difficult for anyone else to get to know the real me.
I recently decided to start to write some ‘real me’ blogs but I’m not so sure now if I really want to give that much of myself to you right now, anymore than I already have.
So before I say too much…I will STOP RIGHT HERE…

I know how you feel Missy.
I also feel a real connection with those on my friends list.
I don't have hundreds of friends....and try to keep my list to show only those who I have had or feel a real connection with.
I do feel a loss when one of them cancels or is no longer my friend.
I have only deleted one friend, and that was because of hateful, nasty behavior.

You're no mystery to me...you're a good heart, and a friend, and you're someone I enjoy knowing and sharing laughs over Life's various little twists and oddities with. You earned your place on my friends list by being someone I could talk to and trust, and once on, you'd have to do something quite uncharacteristic to get off it again...you'd have to be deliberately mean and cruel, and I know you couldn't do that, especially not to a friend

My words of advice.....don't do it. Posting love, kindness and true friendship.....they will eat you alive.
Although that is not fair to say. So MANY wonderful people on this site. But it is the 4 or 5 determined to break down all that is good and pure that have broken my spirit.

You are all the wonderful things that everyone has mentioned above. The one thing you aren't is a QUITTER ! So, take some time to heal then I hope you come back. Ya just can't let one disgruntled person mess up the love and joy you share with so many people.
What ever happend with this other person. They are hurt. For whatever reason, real or imagined. People strike out when they feel hurt. They try to hurt back.
