Everyone looks for a comfort level with others - a plateau of sorts where his personal behaviour is accepted and appreciated. If one is alone, one is seeking the "home" of his lost "tribe" where he remembers that safety of belonging, that "coming-home".
The reality of not having found (or re-found) it validates one's absolute solitariness and acceptance of that lone-ness is not tolerable to some. It compels them to create tribal connections based on lowest common denominators - fear (or resentment) of others who have those genuine connections being one.
Bullies on the playground operate on this fear - losers finding one another and feeling strength in numbers.
Big (even if only in heart and soul) boys and girls realize that you have to just "suck it in" until the fear and lonliness pass.
Maybe squirrels and other critters - who live closer to their primal pulses - really have the answer.
Thanks, Sci.

Hmmmm must be why I choose to ignore the biggest part of the online ugliness. I sometimes catch myself writing a response to a blog that is hurtful and stop and cancel. Why because I really don't want to be a part of that fear. As always your blogs make one think........if they choose to that is. ~*~

this is so perfect and relevant to the decay seen here lately!
Fear is the root of so much unwarrented hatred.
on the big scale.... War, prejudice, murder....... all have grounded roots in fear.
at MD, insecurity, ego, esteem ..all have roots in fear.....
it would be interesting to know....... how many here, check their view count, and compare to others, then thumb their noses boasting, na na na!
perhaps not interesting........ closer to sad to discover the reality!
people wnnder why you soar, in comparison to others here......
I think it is quite evident, to see !

........ hoping you both, are having a great weekend! .........

Great reminder for us all Sci; that there are really only two responses we can have to anything......
.....A response that comes from Love, and a response that comes from Fear.
Thanks for the reminder

In life, I have found there is nothing quite so liberating as learning to experience healthy fear, without the encumbrance of fear less warranted.

Very well said. Fear and insecurity are the harbingers of the competitive aggression seen here every day. It seems it's not enough to state one's position; the opponent/s must be insulted and belittled to really get that point across.
It's unfortunate that few understand the difference between arguing a point and making a personal attack. As soon as the discussion becomes "you this" and "you that" instead of a frank debate of the issues, it's clear that someone fears they are losing the battle.

Awesome blog!
I like this the best:
But the thing is that while the ego feeds off the strife, in the end one will find one's Self no better off than when they started. The only thing that exercising fear brings are others who live equally fear-filled lives. The resulting spiral of suspicions and doubt inevitably lead to only greater loneliness. The ever-controlling ego loves this, though, and whispers encouragement to cling to the rightness of those so-called principles. But I say that ill-guided principles don't keep you warm at night, nor do they allow for growth. All that living in fear does is keep you imprisoned because to more normal folks, at best and simply put, you look like an idiot. ~*~

Not all people are here on this planet to experience mental and emotional growth. What if they came to TO experience fear and limitation, bullying behaviour and anger? What if they are unable to understand differently? Maybe their minds were preprogrammed before they ever incarnated to 'be the bad guy' so that others could have the opportunity to forgive and let go? After all, to learn to forgive, you have to have something to forgive. Right? It IS a freewill planet, after all. Is it not their freewill to suffer and create suffering? If you perceive that they are 'wrong', can't that possibly be just your perception? Why can't everybody be right? I used to think everyone should believe as I believe. I learned better. Sure, I still get pissed. But now, I look at it as an opportunity to work on my anger issues. Maybe that would be a good thing for others to think as well? After all, many of those 'bad people' are perfectly happy being their bad selves. If we are unhappy at what they are doing, doesn't that make it OUR energy and emotions? We, after all are only REACTING to them. I try to work thru my reactive energy whenever possible. I am usually successful.
