One of my drawing exercises stated 'Draw in detail, a hand held object. Take the object apart and then draw each component in detail.' So I found one of my son's little trucks, drew it, took it apart and drew each component in detail.

I handed in my work to be marked and the lecturer gave me a good mark and put a query - 'Is this a real truck?'

Now, if I had followed the instruction correctly, there was no way that this was a real truck! I could hardly fit a truck into my hand, or dismantle one by myself.

Imagine having a dismantled truck in your house for sketching.

I went to an >>>Ann Summers<<< party last night, there were lots of hand held objects there too. I'm not sure what pleasure one could derive from going to bed with a battery operated lump of plastic on their own.

I didn't purchase any products, but I did consider buying a set of 6 to use at the dinner table as funky napkin holders.
