It amazes me how from time to time one member of this site will show themselves up on a regular basis, posting tasteless jokes which aren't even original and worse still when they do come up with something original it's not even funny, it's simply poking fun at someone else, usually women. I'm thinking this is probably because men like that don't really have the balls to stand up to other men and for some reason it makes them feel more of a man to sit by as one after another female reader takes umbrage at his idiotic words.
I'm all for a free country and a free Blogland but surely someone's prime intention for joining this kind of site is to get to know members of the opposite sex. Along the way we'll make friends, discover a talent for writing and make friends of the same sex, but we're mainly here to be liked. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Yes, yes, yes, we all have the odd beef about this and that, dating can be a frustrating thing at times, especially finding one. However, putting ourselves across in a continual bad light can't really do us any favours when it comes to attracting the opposite sex.
Therefore, I have to question the motivation of these types - mainly men I'm sorry to say, who constantly put women down and pretend it's all light-hearted and not meant to offend. I've had my fill of these guys, so it's my turn now to have a moan about them. Even the least intelligent, uneducated male can have charm. Charm and confidence are the two things that will initially catch a woman's attention.
Do these men think it's charming to tell women they're fat or ugly.
Do they feel it's charming to chat for a while about how she's feeling that day then ask her if she can still get her legs apart?
Do they feel it's charming to tell a woman she's a twat?
Do they feel it's charming to sign out of messenger without saying goodnight and then come back online days later saying "hello chick"?
Do they feel it's charming to call a woman a liar and a player without any good reason to back it up?
Do they feel it's charming to then block her and not even give her a chance to defend herself.
Yeah, this last one gets me the most, it's so cowardly. It's like punching a woman and then running away in case she punches you back. I reckon men and women should stick up for themselves equally, but they should at least allow the other person their comeback or explanation before blocking them dead. I'm assuming they're too slow witted to deal with anything that might come their way so they take the easy way out.
I could add to the above and it's not just one guy I'm talking about here, there have been several and under different circumstances. I'm ashamed to say they are all my fellow countrymen, which makes me realise why I'm still single. It's not because I have too high standards it's because I just can't bring myself to sink so low. I'd rather be on my own. I know there are similar in other countries, I've seen it going on on here and I know there are men in the UK who are way above these creeps, unfortunately most of them are already taken.
I still live in hope though.
