First off I'd like to begin by saying I am becoming increasingly disappointed in Barack Obama. In the past few months he has revealed himself to be a racist, elitist, whiny liberal who lives for politics and not much else, and it disappoints me. I have also discovered that I am disappointed in the majority of his supporters, who turn out to be elitists themselves...they are only supporting him for a few reasons that I have deduced because I live with one and because I have made it a priority to listen to them:
a) "He reminds me of JFK"
b) "I'd love to see a black man in the White House"
c) "He stands for change"

Let me argue with all three of these points.
a) Though I do not like personally the despicable human being that was John F. Kennedy, I must respect his shining military career (read up on it...he was stranded on a ship, in control of a bunch of men, for quite awhile) and his fourteen year senate career before his run for President. Barack Obama had been in the senate for two years before he announced his run for the highest office in the land in 2006, and immediately had garnered a following of rather uneducated, highly liberal young people, though I have met some Obama supporters who I am proud to call friends (you know who you are and I do not wish to upset you) who are educated, bright, and have real reasons for their support of Obama. This in no way resembles the career of John F. Kennedy, who was highly experienced and highly respected by his fellow senators and his fellow Americans. Yes, John F. Kennedy came into office with not many ideas, but he did have an agenda at least, and yes, he was a fantastic speaker who spoke of hope, but again...he had experience and he fought for our country. Obama is of a completely different breed than JFK.
b) The idea that someone would support or elect a candidate based on their race or sex is just as racist/sexist as the idea of rejecting them based on that premise and I will not associate with these unedcated, leftist f***s. Perhaps the time will come when a black or female president will be elected to the presidency, and perhaps it will be this election cycle, but this individual should not be supported or elected on the basis of their race or sex. I realise that this cannot always be avoided in one's emotional part of their brain, but in retrospect, it is an utterly ridiculous reason to support a candidate and one should ultimately use their sense of reason when supporting a candidate for the Presidency, not their emotions.
c) Obama has never specified just what kind of "change" he is advocating or will bring about should he be elected. It is obvious to me, knowing what I know about Obama's purely political (yes, in the career politician sense of the word) career in his state senate, that Barack Obama is using this mantra of "change we can believe in" as a way to garner support from Americans who are weary of the last eight years of this dreary regime...even if he has no concrete plans for "change", which I personally do not believe he has.

Anyway....as I listened to Barack Obama go on and on about "bitter, small town Americans" I didn't really know how to react. I was a bit in shock, but I also had to laugh. I realised he was talking about me, my family, my friends, and my extended family. I have relatives in less-than-rural Pennsylvania that live on acres upon acres of farmland in a farmhouse that is in the same condition it was in in the 1800s when our German relatives orginally built it....wood-burning stove, and everything. They have two tv's in the same kitchen, brother and sister living together, and they have their old cars parked in the backyard among blades of grass that are taller than me. They're Seventh Day Adventists and they make fun of black people.Their cousin Joanne weighs 400 pounds and all of them say "Jeet yet?" You get the point, right? Good. They're not really "bitter". Many of them are just upset about the state of the country, the same way the upper-class liberals are.
Me? You bet your ass I'm bitter, Mr. High-Class-I-Sat-In-a-White-Hating-Church-And-Went-To-The-Million-Man-March-Obama.
If you lived in my town for twenty years you'd be bitter, too. If you saw what has happened to my town, you'd be bitter, too. My town is being raped, figuratively, by miscreants moving in from the inner city looking for afforadable housing that has been built due to the recent urban sprawl due to Mountain Creek, the waterpark/ski resort. If you knew about my old high school, Mr. Obama, maybe you'd know why the hell I'm bitter. My old high school which only had a few minor incidents in the past now resembles a Japanese internment camp. The kids are restricted to sitting in classrooms quietly, are no longer allowed to congregate in the halls, and are barely allowed to leave for bathroom breaks. They no longer are permitted to participate in fun activities like Spirit Week or pep rallies the way we were. The school is devoid of any kind of life due to these disgusting excuses for human beings and my town, which was once a close community, a beautiful bit of land nestled between mountains and populated by nice people is now being flushed down the toilet because of criminals. Yes, I'm bitter. And you have no idea. You never had to go through what we have gone through. I bet you didn't grow up in a nice upper-middle-class town and go to a nice upper-middle-class high school and two years later have to watch your little sister prepare to enter that high school only to have to sit back in fear for her physical well-being.
So hell yeah I'm bitter....and I have every right to be...but not everyone's like me...and you were very wrong to assume. Shame on you.

You have a choice between the lesser of two evils....Mc Cain....the devil reincarnate or Obama....but then don't worry, it's been decided already.
McCain is the loser. Young people have been coming out by the thousands in
support of the Democratic party. It's history on all levels for the stinkin republikunts who have screwed with YOUR life to the point we've become 37th in health care and many other very demeaning visions of ourselves.

All I know is I was listening to coast to coast radio this morning and they made a comment that really struck me.
They said how negative both Hillary and Obama were about our country.
How we feel let down and we are disappointed in our country when we live in one of the most generous countries in the world , The comments that are being made by each is to tear our cofidence down in our country and make us loose faith in it, Therefore they will come in and rescue the country , Which is already a wonderful country , A Country that has done more for the world then anyone ever did. They just never speak of the good , only the bad and YES THIS IS SAD TO ME.

I think the only change the Obama is going to bring will be a racist war within our own borders the likes of what we've never seen.
Change is good only if the person implementing them has enough experience to see farther than their own political and personal goals and the ability to actually do something other than speak stolen words and be a student of a racist mentor.
If he's elected the war is on. But not with Iraq. Right here.

The only change that McCain will bring will be no change. It will be more war, more people without healthcare, more money for the war machine and less money for returning vets.

Less war, more health care and more money for vets is MUCH better than what you propose.

People have praised you for your "wisdom" ... however, I see things differently.

You've been more negative on Obama than anyone else. If you just straight up don't like the man, then say so.

The three reasons you listed is just a generalization of the people YOU KNOW.

I'm not one of them.

I'm supporting Obama for only one reason. I agree with most of the things he says as opposed to everything and everyone else.

I agree with ALL three, but I have more points that I agree with Obama on.

When you start looking at the good AND bad in people then you'll be "wise" like everyone proclaims that you are. Picking apart Obama on words he chooses is ridiculous.

If you're going to hate Obama for his poor choice in words, then why not also hate Mark Calloway for cheating on his wife Sara with a co worker?

Dismal is an understatement of the current administration.
McCain does not represent change.
Hillary is obviously linked to the past administration.
Thus, clearly Obama is the front runner that represents change.
Change is inevitable. Growth is possible.
At this time I have not decided which candidate I will vote for.
I have patience to listen & observe and weigh the upcoming proposed solutions to this country's many problems from all candidates.
Perhaps this will be another election where one is essentially forced to choose
the lessor of the two (or three) evils. I do not see any of the 3 main candidates
as a simple slam dunk at this time.
