I heard an interesting phrase the other day:

“…possessive as a junkyard dog…”

This was a woman referring to herself.

I’ve been experiencing this type of behavior lately, from several sources. Perhaps I feel it simply because this phrase has been reverberating in my mind, and I’m looking for it. Maybe my energies have opened doors to allow this creature to enter.

Can possessiveness be viewed as a feminine trait? (Well, of course it can. Anything can.) This is what drives men away. This is what they run from… in fear. Fear that the course he is on will be skewed or altered. Fear that he will no longer be able to view himself as a free and independent individual… even for one moment.

A woman in love has to have it all.

Naaaaaaaa...

I often wonder how much of the jerk that I am is due to my desire to be free… and alone… to entertain thoughts that are pure and straight as an arrow… to embrace dreams that are slightly more real due to probability. Maybe that is how most men work… unconsciously… passive aggressively.
