I have work to do, but I don't want to do it.

I just want to bang on de drum all day.

I am such a damn kid. Why would anyone want to spend their life working anyway?

Ok...so we have so many hours here on Earth, determined by some giant lottery in the sky or whatever. Say you live to be 75. That is something like 657,000 hours. And say you sleep on average 6 hours a day....That leaves 492,750. Less than half a million hours.

Watch TV for one hour a day, average. That leaves 465,375 hours left.
Spend two hours on a computer a day, average.....410,625 hours left.

If I am doing this even close to right, that leaves about 47 years left....and I haven't even done anything yet!

I mean...if you start counting things like raking the yard for 4 hours twice a year for 75 years......that's another 600 hours off!

Let's see here....stopping for 15 minutes 4 times a month for gasoline....another 900 hours off!

That leaves us with 409,125 hours left.

Sex? Well some are gonna burn a lot more hours up doing that than some of us.....so I ain't gonna count that. Besides...I am pretty sure those are hours well spent. So to speak. In fact...... ....sex may add a few hours back...I'm not sure. I'm gonna have to do more research on that and get back to ya on that one.

Lets see..... What if we add in 45 years of work.....age 20 to 65....no wait...lets make it age 15 to 65...that's 50 years....and lets say 8 hours a day, for say.....250 days a year....knock off another 100,000 hours. Which puts us at 309,125 hours left. That is about....35 years left.

Shopping? For whatever......I have no idea....
Cooking and eating? Changing diapers? Washing windows?
Washing the car...dog...kids....self...
Bathroom time....various duties in there...? Again....some are gonna use up more time than others.

Driving to work.......mine is 4 minutes one way.........some of you probably spend an hour a day....like maybe 1500 hours over the 50 years of work?

Ok...I am done.
I just used 15 minutes of another hour thinking about just how few hours I have left.

Damn it! And now I am down to like ...hell...I don't know.....20 minutes left or something.

I gotta stop wasting time.....

Pass me my guitar and a beer will ya? And come over here ya little cutie!

I gotta get busy.......
