Today was a beauty again. You know, there are times in the winter when I don’t really like the long ride I have to work, but on days when it is like it has been for the last few, I truly don’t mind, in fact, I enjoy the ride as I get to see the beauty of rebirth. The cherry trees are bloomed and the redbud resplendent with fiery pinks. The daffodils pop their sunny heads out to greet the sun and you can’t but help to smile when you see them. The tulips are inching their way to popping and the lilacs are forming their clusters of flowers getting ready to be reborn also. Spring is, indeed tied with Fall, as my favorite seasons. Summer is way to hot for me and though I don’t mind the cold of winter, I sure as heck do not enjoy driving with the others that are busy on their cell phones and still attempting to control a car sliding on snow or ice. Soon my fireflies will be gracing my fields and there are camping trips in my future and even fishing excursions. Yeah for me.
Last night was the first official cutting of the grass in the back yard. I am not going to be cutting as often this year.. financial issues.. doncha know? And though I was sweating last night after I finished the back with the push mower, it smelled absolutely frikken maaaaveeeelous!!! And the birds this morning greet me awake.. life is really good!

Dear Friends, Family, and neighbors…..
This letter is being sent to you, because I know that you are seriously interested in your lawn (if you have a lawn).
The spring season is now upon us. This is a fertilizer club and it will not cost you a cent to join. Upon receipt of this letter, go to the top of the list and schitt on that persons front lawn.

My lilacs are just about done... the jasmine still has a few blooms and the irises opened up this week... clematis, azaleas, mountain laurel, violets, dianthus, shamrocks, peaches - and a bunch I can't spell... are all blooming!!
And tell Gramps he can get the straight poop from me:
I don't give a schitt...  Stay offa my lawn!!
I have three large dogs and 5 horses... so I have all the poop - all the poop .!!

Now THAT was funny and creative.
You know......... if you don't mow as often...... and the grass gets real tall......... You'll have to go slower to cut that heavy grass..... which will use more gas...... it will leave clumps which can make dead spots unless you rake it..........
Just don't fertilize it or water it. It will still grow........ just not as fast....... and it won't look like a putting green........ but it will be functional and less work.

It's awfully green here, but flowers...nope!
