Yanoo, the kid is 30 something and his olde mom is .... errrr... much older. He worked me at his pace and I gotta tell yall, I am able to do things on my own around this farmette, but at that pace, if I tried to keep it up, I would be soooo dead (and all ya hopin... nope, didn't happen.. maybe next time... LOL!) The municipality informed us that they would be widening the road and the trees that I had to move, I just put in over the last two years. They are all ornamental trees .... soooo.
But at least it was a good day to move them and the weather cooperated holding off on the rain until late evening .. so it even watered the transplants for me! Yay.
I was sent this in an email .. I am putting a disclaimer here.. those of you that have a fear of heights, might want to not view this .. it scared even me!!!

I, for one, am glad you are still around.
The video was amazing, not something I could ever do. My legs are like Jell-O and I am kind of breathless... but I kind of like that for some reason...

I know just what you mean about the pace of doing chores... Mine gets slower every month, it seems... mow, mow, mow, pick up branches, dig holes, weed, feed, lug stuff around, rake gravel, rake debris, clean out shed/s clean out gutters, clean house, clean self ... flop in bed... go to work, get home, start mowing again...
Ain't life grand?? 
I loved the video (from my chair - no desire to go there) and the cards... too real...
I got no rain again  - It all went just north of us. Another chance tomorrow, though.

Very interesting walk. I did notice that some of the trail had cables on the side to hook up your safety harness,

Sorry you had to move the trees...I know it's alot of work for sure! Speaking of which...I have plenty of yardwork of my own to do.
That video was awesome! I don't think I'd have the nerve to do that particular walk. The camera work was well done. Thanks for sharing!

I'll be smelling fresh mowed grass by next weekend I think....thanks for the preview though.
I had to dig a hole in the woods this weekend to bury something and let me tell you different parts of my body resisted my mental instructions....  , but, it didn't stop me from getting that hole dug...I simply used different techniques...
My take is this...the roles we share with our children somehow, over time, become reversed. The gratification we gain from nurturing our children is time well spent. I am certain your son experienced much gratification from being able to show his stuff and help his mom. Parents and children balance each other out this way. Even if you had not felt the 'wind in you sails' giving out, the effect on your son would not have been the same. Children have a need to strut their stuff for their parents....its called pride, for a job well done.....MOM!!!
