This goes against all that I truly believe in my heart of hearts but I reckon I've totally drawn the short straw when it comes to the guys I've met on line who are from the UK. Those with an ounce of charm have turned out to be fake or disappeared beyond contact and those who remain just want to push every last ounce of patience and humour out of me until I explode. Then, you know what? It's all my fault. I need to lighten up, then I might meet someone.

What disappoints me the most is these guys have been talking to me for a while. They've not just got chatting to me tonight. So I think it's fair to deduce that as they're still chatting to me that they found me reasonably good company. They're aware of my accident, my single parent status, my two children, their ages, my daughter's impending exams, my widowed mother, my sister who has recently split with her long term partner and now faces single parenthood with a 3 year old daughter to bring up alone.

I greet my "friend" tonight in the usual friendly manner, I'm typically humorous and philosophical about my current situation, in fact I'm in extra good humour tonight - I think my earlier blog about my one-legged plight proves that. When it comes to the subject of my Mother he takes exception to the fact I refer to her as "less use than a chocolate teapot". A fine way, apparently, to talk about the woman who brought me into this world. I continue with humour that "death would seem preferable at times". He continues to insult me throughout the rest of the conversation until such time as I tell him to forget it altogether as I don't have time to waste chatting to people who are clearly not interested in me or getting to know me. Damned cheek he turns around and says "Lighten up, you might meet someone".

Men like that I can do without. I still maintain I've not had a single guy in the US talk to me that way. Maybe your Fathers brought you up to treat a lady like a lady until she proves herself unworthy. The men in this country I've encountered so far have disappointed me greatly. I'm positive they're not in the majority I'm just concerned as to why I've attracted them. Perhaps my sense of humour belies the fact I do actually have feelings.

To be honest, I don't think any of these guys have an excuse for not knowing me a lot better than I knew them, except sheer laziness or illiteracy. I have enough blogs to read - or at least I did on my last profile - which attracted most of them. They've clearly not bothered to read them.

If I found a man with over 300 blogs I'd be avidly reading every day to get some kind of insight into what made him tick. I don't think these guys were interested in me at all - they saw me as nothing more than someone to wile away a few boring minutes with when they had nothing better to do.

Well I aint talking to any of them any more. I've better things to do with my time, like fart or collect fluff out of my navel - yep women do that too - when they've nothing better to do - like when hell freezes over.
