Worried but can't do anything

My brother recently lost his job due to being late a few weeks ago And has went back to drugs. Mom and dad have kinda disowned him. Don't call or talk to him anymore because of all his lies and never trying to help himself He has hurt me too with lies. Even though he has lied about things, I still love my brother. I wish something would make him want to change and try to be with his daughters but he doesn't even try. He needs some kind of miracle. He needs to change really soon or he won't have a roof over his head. I can't give him money because I have only $15 to last me a week. I hope one day, God will help. I worry about him alot. Without mom and dad having anything to do with him, I'm scared something is gonna happen.

	It's called "tough love", hon...and one of the hardest things your parents and you will ever have to do. Even if you had thousands of spare dollars, you cannot "rescue" him -- that's something that he has to do by and for himself.

	I’m so sorry for you, your family and your brother… it is not easy to see someone you love so deeply be so lost … I’m sure your parents still love him … I once was sitting in the same chair that you are and it is painful… the only thing I can say is try to remember when you give him money you are just allowing him to use his for more drugs. I know that is hard to accept but it is the truth. Also you can still love him with out enabling his habit, it is difficult but it is possible. Good Luck and my God hold your hand while you carry this burden .

	It's not that your Mom and Dad doesn't love their son. He needs to stand up and face head on what he is doing to himself. You worry about him because you Love your brother. Some times people have to hit rock bottom before they want to change. Maybe God is not helping yet due to your brother not wanting it. He is the one who has to ask for help all we can do is pray he will ask. I hope you will find comfort and he does ask.
