The more connections you and your lover make, not just between your bodies, but between your minds, your hearts, and your souls, the more you will strengthen the fabric of your relationship, and the more real moments you will experience together -- Barbara Deangelis How do you describe the feelings we get when we meet certain people, or for that matter, just read their writings and feel close to them, or talk on the phone and laugh with them and know, deep within your being that there is some sort of connection between you and that individual?
Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person; having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but to pour them ALL OUT, just as they are, chaff and grain together, KNOWING that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and then, with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away. -- George Eliot This is what I am talking about. How many of you have met someone quite by chance and felt a certain electricity that immediately shot through you? You sit down to talk and the words flow outta your mouth as though you opened a faucet that had long ago rusted closed? My God, the inexplicable ease of being able to communicate your thoughts without having to watch and carefully think out the words before you speak them? This is what happens when people here, yes, on MD, express their creative blogs and pour out feelings that others that are in a parallel plane, those with similar thoughts, familiar feelings, appreciate and extend a sign of friendship of kinship, of: "I hear you .. I have been there" .. or "wow, I never really thought of it in that way, but what you expressed made my heart feel differently?"
Yeah, words can do that, like thoughts can do that, shared dreams can do that, opening new avenues to different methods that run similar can do that! Secrets? Plots? Nope.. just sharing.. nothing more.. nothing less... just an expression of "thanks, I needed that". Feelings, how can you explain what makes you attracted to someone and not to another. It is the depth of their soul reaching out to yours, It is feelings that are awakened in you by another person through the sharing of thoughts and ideas and words, their wit and their laughter...
And for gramps:
A couple has a dog that snores. Annoyed because she can't sleep, the wife goes to the vet to see if he can help. The vet tells the woman to tie a ribbon around the dog's testicles, and he will stop snoring. 'Yeah, right!' she says. A few minutes after going to bed, the dog begins snoring, as usual. The wife tosses and turns, unable to sleep. Muttering to herself, she goes to the closet and grabs a piece ofred ribbon and ties it carefully around the dog's testicles. Sure enough, the dog stops snoring! The woman is amazed! Later that night, her husband returns home drunk from being out drinking with his buddies. He climbs into bed, falls asleep and begins snoring loudly. The woman thinks maybe the ribbon might work on him. So, she goes to the closet again, grabs a piece of blue ribbon and ties it around her husband's testicles. Amazingly, it also works on him! The woman sleeps soundly. The husband wakes from his drunken stupor and stumbles into the bathroom. As he stands in front of the toilet, he glances in the mirror and sees a blue ribbon attached to his privates. He is very confused, and as he walks back into the bedroom,he sees the red ribbon attached to his dog's testicles. He shakes his head and looks at the dog and whispers, 'I don't know where we were .... or what we did ... But, by God .. We took first and second place!

This is why I love this site. It gives each of us the chance to really get to know others and to be able to embrace our differences hopefully with respect. Wonderful blog ~*~

I do have a couple of friends that I seem to be able to just 'bable" my heart out too. This is an unusual thing for me with women. I never had "best friends", only my mother.
The ladies that I know now? They are the best!!!
Kudo's to you again. You do keep me coming back for more.
