Some here will find my words of no use
The language not eloquent, the message obtuse
Metaphor, comedy, analogy and verse
All seem to be used to make animosity worse
A large vocabulary can still show a small mind
If one can't use words to treat others in kind
Choosing the keyboard over paper and pen
To come at each other again and again
Disguising venom with flowery prose
Believing we can't see what's under our nose
Words condescending, behaviors offensive
Take into account this makes others pensive
As far as I know, use of speech is still free
It is being creative, not control that is key
We all are not poets or professors of art
We simply use words that come from the heart
If you don't like one style, move onto the next
It is all just a matter of showing respect
Participating in this forum is taking a chance
If you don't like the party, don't join in the dance
Today is the day on these words I might choke
It matters not much, if you can't see the joke

It's amazing the nasty words we are showered
from such a safe distance, the words of a coward
So much of what I read is so crass
I stop at the title and say, "I'll just pass".
And when I write about kittens or this beautiful day
Some dipchit has to comment, "You must be gay!"
But that's okay, cos I have such cool friends
I'm not mean with my means, to love is my end
And if I were gay, I'd be proud of that too
But I'm not, I'm just happy to be here with you
I  and I ya'll, cos, you're all so groovy
