It's not news to most people that MD is the first experience I have had with online coutship (outside of the occasional My Space proposition ). While I have found myself rather liking many aspects of it, there are some things that just don't sit well with me.

I love the interaction. I think this is a great weeding tool. People seem much less inhibited to be themselves when they know they may never have to run into the people they speak with here in the streets. This allows you a better chance to know the person behind the facade most put on out and about in everyday life.

The complete reverse of this though, are the ones who portray themselves here as Prince Charmings or Queens. Knowing full well if you were to ask anyone who truly knew them, they would tell you to run for the hills. What they don't realize, is those of any intelligence who actually care to look can see through them like glass.

Also, I am glad to see couples here who have linked up through MD. Gives me hope. Let's me know that it may not be easy, but it is possible. I love to see them play off of each other in the forums, profess their love for all to see in their blogs, and other too cute little happenings.

The problem with this is.....haters. Yeah as if you didn't know. People who know someone is attached, yet unabashedly pursue them. You wouldn't do it on the street, so why would you do it here? Or would you do it on the street? People need to pay attention, if these people will pursue someone they know is in a relationship......is this someone you really want to be in a relationship with?

Then you have those who seem to be here just to have people praise them for whatever Oh, great blog about nothing Oh, great quiz about nothing Oh, great asinine forum post about.....nothing Your the king/queen of MD Get a life!


I don't want to rule MD world. I don't need everybody to agree with me or even like me. If you like me, cool. If you don't like me, cool. I am here because I want to meet someone I can spend the rest of my life with, have some fun, and possibly make at least a few new friends along the way. Plain and simple.


Not here to break up other couples or hate on them. Not here to put you out there for the fake or a*shole you are. Not here to be the hottest chick or grab the hottest dude. Not here to force self worth upon you.


I leave ruling MD world to those who fight so hard for it. I don't want to rule it, just use it as a window to pull something out into the real world.
