Everybody's got their vice in life. Some people love their food. Others love their drink. Still, others can't get enough freaky sex. Some people will deny they've got their vice, but indeed....we all have them, and some we are not so apt to admit.
I've always liked my food, but I never considered it my "vice". Eating was never something I secretly enjoyed beyond any stretch of the imagination but was ever too embarrassed to talk about. A vice, to me, is like a guilty pleasure. Something one does that secretly makes them feel great, or that they secretly enjoy beyond any stretch of the imagination, but they feel so guilty afterwards, they'll never say anything about it to anyone, and may deny it if asked.
My vice, you may ask? Well I guess it's about time I let it out:
I love conservative talk radio. I can't get enough of it. I listen to it every day in the car and sometimes .... ..... I listen to the streaming broadcasts on the WABC website. In the morning I listen to Curtis Sliwa. In the afternoon I listen to Rush Limbaugh, and in the late afternoon to the evening I listen to Sean Hannity. I never listen to Levin because I can't stand him, but I do enjoy Laura Ingraham on the odd occasion.
I don't know why I do this. I've been secretly enjoying talk radio since I was fourteen years old. See, when I was fourteen years old, I used to watch Fox News every day (and no, I wasn't a conservative then, either). I was a socially awkward kid in eighth grade and had virtually no social life....so I'd come home, and I'd start watching at three o'clock (The Fox Report With Shepherd Smith) to ten o'clock (On The Record With Greta Van Susteren...and yes I remember when Greta was on CNN). For some reason, I developed a strange, socially awkward kind of crush on Sean Hannity and I began to listen to his radio show every day instead of watching The Fox Report, Real World With Neil Cavuto, and The Big Story With John Gibson.
I started off small, see, I only listened to that show. I was home by three, usually, so I got to listen to the whole show.
As time went on and my schedule became more broken up and hectic, I began to tune into WABC only when I was able to. That's when I discovered Rush Limbaugh. It was 2006 and I skipped school nearly every day because of things that were going on with my ex boyfriend....and I turned on the radio.
My liberal friends always ask me why I "waste" my time on "that crap". Other than the fact that Air America Radio is really not very entertaining...I don't really know why I waste my time on it. It's just something that for some reason, I really, really enjoy. I don't agree with them, really, I don't. I always feel like I have to stress that. ...
I just really love the boys on the radio, I guess....

I never listen to talk radio. Not anything to do with politics anyway's. I do often listen to Serius in the car and love the Blue Collar Comedy channel. Maybe that's my vice. I laugh at Jeff Foxworthy...How embarassing.

Cheney certainly takes the position of VICE president a little too literal.

It's just something that for some reason, I really, really enjoy. It's because you're smart enough to read between the lines. I listen to Rush quite often, and though I hardly ever agree, I can get a greater sense of the "party line" there as perhaps no other place.

Good to see a Echo-boomer is listening. I listen to talk all day long. In the evening if I can get M Savage...just for the primal scream therapy.
You have to listen to them all and take it with a grain of salt. Decide yourself which path to take. All have good points. The main idea is to listen...and react politically. What does music get U all day? Any young generation must become involved...or will lose it all to those who do.

I know Mike personally...have been in the radio studio for his shows and did some of his publicity photos. He is one of the best in the business but does not want to syndicate like the big guy. He had subed for Rush several times. Stream his past shows or listen online. You'll eventually find him very very accurate in the real situation of things.
Sorry...cannot listen even 10 seconds to Rush bimbo...

YOU might vote for WHO???
All I can think of is how many times your "Parental Mentors" here, over the last few years, have said you'd go through a dozen "phases" before your "evolution" is complete.
(PS, you sounded great...and not UberJoisey, lol )
