It's getting closer, it's almost here. I'm so excited I could just spit........and so could more than 30 others. Of course I hope we don't or we will be in mud up to our knees. OK, I know....not a pretty image.

The second annual MD camping trip in Indiana is next weekend.
It is the largest get together ever in MD history.
It all started back on Jan 6, 2008 when our own Luvvy (luvmycats) asked if any one would be interested in camping again this year. Now with almost 300 pages in the forums and endless email's back and forth, we are finally going to get together, most of us are meeting for the first time in person. We plan on playing pool and ping pong, badminton and volleyball, possibly canoeing, Karaoke contests, there has been talk of Super Soaker water fights and just having fun around the campfire.
Some have even planned practical jokes to play on each other.

We have members coming from all over for this weekend, CA, Canada, TX, FL, IA, IL, MN, OH, AR, MI, AZ, MO and many from IN. Please forgive me fellow campers if I forgot you, I tried. Some of us are seasoned campers and some are newbies to the outdoor experience, I think there is a snipe hunt planned. A couple of them are flying in but most of us are car pooling to get there, meeting for the first time as we pull up into the driveway to pick each other up.
Can you say "Road Trip"..........I know you can.

We have booked the entire campground so we have all 10 cabins and the tent sites to ourselves, so much for worrying about disturbing the other campers.........there won't be any. A few campers are bringing trailers and setting up across the road at Turkey Run State park but they will only be there for sleeping. We even have a couple of people that can only come by for the day but they are still coming to meet everyone and have fun. Rockville, IN and Sugar Creek will never be the same.

And we aren't going to live on hot dogs either. We have a menu planned that will rival any 5 star restaurant. BBQ sandwiches and ribs, salads, desserts, fresh fruit, sausage and bacon, omelets, biscuits and gravy and snacks of all kinds. And for everyone out there that drools over Cookies blogs about his cooking......he is going to be there to help with the cooking and make his famous baked beans for us, many are bringing homemade dishes to share. Of course, there will be hot dogs for the fire.......what good is a camp out with out them......and smore's.......mmmmmmmm.

Luckygem got MD to okay the use of their logo.....Thank you MD .....so that we could have T-shirts made up to remember the experience. We will have the logo on the front and our names on the back.

Luvvy has been instrumental in pulling all of this together.......finding and booking the camp ground, buying the food and making most all other arrangements that needed to be made. Many others have stepped up to offer to bring supplies needed, pick up those who need a ride, help with planning details, etc. To Luvvy and all of them I offer a hearty THANK YOU for what promises to be a most memorable weekend. And a great big THANK YOU to MD for making it possible for us to make new friends and having such a wonderful site.
