When I look at the state of America nowadays, it alarms me that there is so much hate from Americans towards other Americans. We live in the greatest and most free country in the whole world, yet we act like we have it so bad.
As Americans we love to sue one another, beat each other up, gossip about one another, put our own needs ahead of others, jealous of each other, like to see others fail, and I could go on and on. We rape each other, kill each other, steal from each other, lie to each other, cheat on each other, hurt each other. We are so lucky to live in this country and yet this is how we show our appreciation. If you want a prime example you need to look no further then this website. Look at all the constant fighting that goes on here for as something as silly as blogs! Why do people who blog on here feel the need to fight with others who also blog on here? I never understood that.
Now not all of Americans act this way and we do have our different avenues to go down to avoid it. For the most part we can miss out on all this hatred when we visit our families, or go to our special retreats to clear our heads, or we can go to church where love is preached. Or is it?
Today I read an article on the internet where an ordained minister is trying to get a petition of 10,000 signatures so the city of San Francisco would rename a city sewage treatment plant the "George W. Bush Sewage Plant." He said his intention is to embarrass the current president. What is a minister whose job it is to preach the love that the bible preaches doing with a ballot initiative like this? This is not an initiative of love but of hate. Then it dawned on me, this is what the famous preachers are doing nowadays. Look at how some of them talk, is it what God would want them to say? Do you think God is happy with the words of Rev. Sharpton, Rev. Wright, Rev. Jackson, Evangalist Pat Robertson? Pat Robertson called for the assasination of another country's leader, is that God like?
I know it is unfair to talk about the behavior of Preachers these days and only show these famous ones as examples, I know that there are plenty of good preachers out there from all denominations. It is just that the famous ones are the only examples of preachers that people who don't go to church see and from this is where they form their opinion of church and religion. How often do we hear the Catholic church get put down because of what some of the Priests did with little children? Does that mean all Catholic Priests are bad? Not at all. But we live in a society that allows one(or some) bad apples spoil the whole bunch.
So why don't preachers who are suppose to preach love not remember this when they speak the way they do? I believe it is because preachers are becoming like the rest of us in American society, they are losing their love for people, especially strangers. If you hear a preacher preaching hate, what kind of hope does that give you? And if we as a society can't rely on church anymore for a sanctuary of love, just how hard is it going to be for us to actually find love?
Love is beautiful and doesn't cost a thing. Love makes people happy and hate does not. So maybe preachers and people in general should stop the hate and start showing love. We are all going to die someday so why waste the only life you get by spending it hating and being angry. And for those people who listen to what those famous but angry preachers are saying just remember this, Jesus was the most persecuted man ever and yet He never had hate in His heart or preached hatred. I suggest that you pick up a bible and find out what true love is all about. Discover that life is so much better when you eliminate hate and focus on love.

Blogs: It is best not to put politicts, religion or race on the blogs. If you do you will definitely be hammered.
Religion and Preachers. What is the requirement to be a preacher? Why are people into the preaching business?
Religion is what it has always been about, the controlling of the masses through the belief of a supernatural spirit. If you look back, you will see the Guanna thing, Bobic comet, Walco, The Mormans, the problem in Texas now over sex with young girls, etc.. It is control of the mind.
Just look at the problem Abama just had with the news Commentators--they showed their stupidy of the understandings of how the church works and how real christians work.
Some ministors were a part of the 60ths when this government and some of the people turned their backs on the Vietnam soldier. He found NVC had more respect for him than his fellow Americans. They answer the call of their country, they fought and 50,000 died. When they returned home they were called killers, child killers, women killers, people spit in their face and kicked. So, the hate that was shown at that time has never settled with them. They are in their 60ths now I know for I am one of them. If you asked me to put a uniform on and go to IRAQ, I would not.
So, some of these guys do become ministors/preachers and their life experience is apart of them and what they say.
However, it is the church elders who are suppose to control these people--hire and fire. The congergation (the body of the church) rarely votes on issues like this. It is bad for another church thinks they have a good buy-like that junker car you sold.
Then there are the show boats, they have to have a show going--to be noticed.
So, that is what you are seeing.
Like the Rev. Wright, his church should expell him--even though he is retired--he needs expulson.

The real teachers of the Bible are not in the public eye. There are great teachers out there, such as Charles Stanley in Atlanta, and David Jeramiah in Calif. just to name a few.

America is GREAT, but humanity is the same in all mankind.
Some preachers are servants of God or Buddha, bringing love & peace to us.
Some are just professionals, using religion as a tool for fame, money or power.
So, not necessary to feel disappointed....It is just HUMANITY!
