I wanted to scream! How DARE he!? I HATE the term "the old lady" and always have. How on Earth is that a term of endearment?

An ex-boyfriend called me that ONCE (notice I said EX). I felt so disrespected and degraded. Well that particular ex and his friend, M, came into work today. Small talk conevened until he mentioned his "old lady". What kind of 21 year old wants to be called that? REPHRASE...what self respecting WOMAN would take that?

Can you imagine a Priest saying "II now pronounce you the Old Man and the Old Lady." Be prepared to have an ambulance come take your grandmother away with the heartattack she'd suffer from hearing that. Oh the horrors!

Fine! You wanna call your girlfriend the "old lady", be thankful you aren't going out with me! I would chew you up and spit you out I respect myself so how DARE you disrespect me! Or ANY woman for that matter.

The 2 aforementioned guys had a friend named Bacon (name changed to protect the innocent). Bacon dated a sweetheart of a gal. M referred to this girl as "Bacon's old lady." Bacon fumed "NOBODY calls her the old lady!" which had M laughing "Ah so nobody but you, eh?" Smoke poured from Bacon's eyes and ears "NOBODY!!! That is NO way to talk TO or ABOUT a lady." Case closed! 2 out of 3 are stooges.
