Life is filled with God--appointed storms. But two things should comfort us: we all experience them and we all need them. God has no method more effective. The blows and blasts smooth us and humble us and force us to submit to the role He has chosen for us.

Before the dust settles, why not ask God to have His way in today's whirlwind and storm?

His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. (Nahum 1:3)

Today, speak softly and lovingly. Recall the tender and kind actions of a loving mother.
