I've not been around for a while.

This might surprise some cynics but the reason for this is my Steve Austin got in touch. Being Bionic I'd come to realise finding someone exactly like me wasn't going to happen overnight. I realised I had to practice the ultimate virtue.... Patience.

Ask and ye shall receive. Blog upon blog I wrote about what I wanted. My previous incarnation did a little of both, but it occurred to me I wasn't practising what I preached and I needed to let go of what I didn't want. The Universe simply doesn't understand WANT or DON'T WANT. So I put all the possibilities out there - I forgot all the guys who told me "bloody hell, you don't want much do you?" and laughed at me. I knew what I wanted, I wasn't willing to settle for anything less. So I put my wish out there and forgot all about it. The Universe takes a little while to answer our prayers so patience is the key.

I've often heard it said the one you're looking for might be right under your nose. Sometimes we're so busy searching we don't see what is right in front of us. When we first met he was interested in someone else and so was I so even though I felt something happening between us I didn't expect it to go anywhere. Then both our playmates disappeared into the ether and we were free to explore what had the beginnings of a beautiful friendship.

Within a matter of days we both knew we'd found the person we'd been waiting for all our lives. So much synchronicity, so much in common, yet sufficiently different to keep a spark in our relationship.

This is going to be the love story of the century, the Matchdoctor success story of all time.
