"Your life is the sum result of all the choices you make, both consciously and unconsciously. If you can control the process of choosing, you can take control of all aspects of your life. You can find the freedom that comes from being in charge of yourself". -- Robert F. Bennett There are days in my life when I question a whole hemisphere of things. Why do I find Sam Elliott so damn hot and fine? Why does an ice cold beer on a hot, hot summer day of cutting and mowing taste so satisfying? Just who are the B.O.B.s of the adult world tested to find out that they are more pleasing to women of the world, and who is supervising this study? Why do I think men with goatees are sexier than hell (even more so if they are bald and have piercing eyes)???? Yeowsir, that last one gave me goosebumps..... (jest sayin).
And then there are times when I sit very, very still and try like hell to keep those thought outta this ole brain, and close my eyes and sit in the lotus position for as long as I can manage with my not so pretty, undainty-like farm gal hands resting on my knees wondering how will this country ever regain the grounds we have lost on the economic field, when will the drug companies finally release the technology they have had and put an end to good and wonderful people dying from cancer, aids, etc. and then it hits me.. square between both of my beadie little (but awesomely green eyes).. shit, this lotus position hurts after about 20 minutes.
I wasn't always as outgoing as I am today. I was very introverted all through my growing years and along with that introversion came the crown of "nerdy tomboy" cuz since I had very few friends, I threw my time and conscience mind into learning all I could about all I could. It was my choice!
I have long since kissed that world of my introverted awkwardly tomboyish youth aside and settled in on an extroverted awkward tomboyish old hippie chick lifestyle .. again, my choice. But you know what, I never looked back a day in my life and blamed anyone for the choices I made. No one ever put a loaded 357 magnum to my pea-picking wittle head and made me do anything. Funny, how I am reminded of our right to chose whatever we want in life daily. I have coworkers who complain and blame everyone and anything under the sun for their lot in life. And, yes, I am well aware that bad things happen to good people constantly, but in the large picture, when we really stop and think about all the "stuff" in our lives, who was the one constant in that picture? Exactly, each of us individually where the constant in every picture, every moment of our lives. Dare we think that perhaps, just perhaps, blaming others for our misfortunes and lemons, would be like cajoling ourselves, berating our own stupidity? Nah... impossible.. how foolish... how naieve!!! Poppycock (there are jest some words I adore) rubbish, bullturds, etc.
So, these days, instead of wringing my already ugly hands, instead of beating my chest and crying to the heavens.. "why, me?", I will find something to be grateful for when life hands me lemons and concentrate and think of that grateful item. I read (damn, but I do enjoy reading.. thanks gramps) that whatever type of energy we exude is returned to us .. you know that expression.. "like attracts like?" I believe that many people who need to come to grips with certain emotions they are experiencing should try adopting the Universal Law of Attraction to their issues. According to that law, we attract that which we focus on with the most intensity, and this attraction can create either a positive or a negative experience in us.
If we constantly put out negative energy, it will be the only type of energy we attract.. remember the law .. like attracts like. So, taking the double dare one step further, try to turn your energy toward the positive and you will attract even more of the positive back ...
It's worth a shot.. maybe? or perhaps you feel that it is not? The choice is, always has been and will continue to be yours.
I rented the New Highlander movie tonite.. so I am begging off here early.. am gonna make some jewelry while watching that sexy, sexy man, Adrienne Paul (Duncan MacLeod) and the sexy watcher of the immortals Jim Brynes (Joe Dawson). I couldn't find any Sam Elliott movies that I hadn't seen at least 10 times... ya think I got it bad for that man?????
and for gramps:
One day an old lady went to the doctors because she had an itch in her crotch.
She told the doctor her problem and he said, 'You have the crabs.'
She informed the doctor that it could not be the crabs because she was an eighty year old virgin.
She went to another doctor and explained her problem to him.
The doctor said,
'You probably have the crabs'
'No' she said, 'I am an eighty year old virgin.' Frustrated, she went to a third doctor.
She said, 'Doctor can you help me? I have an itch in my crotch. Don't tell me that it is the crabs because I am an eighty year old virgin. It can not be the crabs.'
The doctor said,
'Get on the table and let's have a look.'
After examining, the doctor proclaimed,
'Ma'am, your right, you do not have the crabs.'
get ready... get set.. for this one.. it's bad!!!!!!
'This cherry is sooooo old, you have fruit flies.'

Why do I find Sam Elliott so damn hot and fine? Your not the only one. Ever since I saw him in The Mask with Cher, I thought he was hot too.

Love the joke ... fruit flies, indeed...
Enjoy your movie and rainy evening (I had it last night - the rain, not the movie...)... and today was a beautiful breezy sunshine filled day with everything freshly washed.
Too bad I spent most of it up on scaffolding... indoors... but it's Friday and there's two wonderful days to make up for it...

Of course The Law of Attraction works. My only question there seems to be why do I attract so many sleazeball men who are only looking for quick sex when I am not that way AT all. If like attracts like, why don't I attract a compassionate, sweet, caring, giving man. Just wondering. Wonderful blog as always!
