I was chatting with someone on another site, we seemed to get along well. At the end of one convo, she said "im gonna go twist one up and relax" Now...this lady is 45 has an 18 yo kid. Now...I was no angel, far from it.... but it seems to me... grow up. Being that her child is 18...do you think its a secret from her? Is that a good example? I dunno....I chose not to write her anymore.

Maybe she was feeling you out? Seeing if you like to twist up yourself? Maybe she could give it up if she knew it bothered you. Lots of unanswered questions. You gotta talk about it...or you won't know.

If twisting one up is this ladies worst picadilly shes probably a pretty cool woman. Hell, I know women well into there 70s that have a little growning in their flower garden, not just one woman, several. When I'm that age and have a long gray braid down my back or this age for that matter, judging others is one of those character flaws that I am glad to have outgrown. I doubt that smoking a little pot, at her age, is going to lead to her doing Meth etc.
I suppose thats one of the nice things about these sites. You can learn alot about someone before actually meeting them so consider youself lucky that she did tell you. I'm sure you know that there is alot that can be kept a secret on these sites also, then bam, fly a few thousand miles and learn disappointing secrets.

A good example .. no .. but in my opinion better than alcohol .. maybe you should talk to her and find out why she feels the need to relax .. I think that is more important .. why is she doing it rather than her doing it.. if it's just to zone out then you'll have to decide whether you want to live with that.

Mike, I've been asked quite a few times by men I've met whether or not I smoke pot. My answer is always, "No, I'm an adult..."
I also choose not to see those men, if there answer is, "Yes."

The reason why one smokes is important. My husband was suffering from much pain from neuropathy, gasteoparisis, poor eyesite, all complications of diabetes. Instead of more pain meds, he'd smoke and I didn't care. But he never did it around the kids and they never knew. Others want to escape from life, and yet others just enjoy the feeling. If they are escaping from real life, I'd be concerned. If they do it in front of kids I'd be concerned. However, if you just don't want a pot smoker, that's your choice too and you should not be judged by that either. Personally, I don't like people who are stoned or drunk, I'd rather have their "real" self before me and not a shaddow of themselves. tc Lost

Sounds to me Mike that you're smart enough to know what you can't overlook or let slide. That is the main thing. I don't think you're judging her...ya just know what ain't for you....that's good.
And by the way...pot doesn't always make one lazy..it works differently on different people. I've seen ones that zone out and others that it works like speed and gives them energy. I tried pot a long time ago...don't like the way it makes me feel and it taste awful....thanks anyway, I'll stick to beer.
Oh....and I get intoxicated from time to time...it doesn't make me a "shadow"...stupid enough to do karaoke but never a shadow....

OMG its been decades since I twisted one up.. I have kids and grandkids now  .. And a clean house. Only way I'd ever ever twist one up is if my doc wrote the script for it and I dont see him ever doing that even tho it would kill alot of the pain I'm in constantly.. and then.. I wouldnt smoke it around my famliy... I'd go out side, someplace private and I sure wouldn't blog about twisting up one.. Gezzzzz some people.. I don't blame you for not writting her again.
