After a recent blog a discussion ensued with a party that will remain nameless, mostly because I barely know her name, but also because I feel like being mysterious. The discussion revolved around the return to partake in a sport that one loved, and referenced a horse analogy. Here are the important aspects that I decided were necessary to share with all of you.
#1 - We return to the horse not only to prove that, even though we have aged significantly since we last mounted said horse, we can still mount said horse. It is more because we missed said horse, and wish to become familiar with it again. Regardless of our skill level, the horse is the important factor, not our current ability set.
#2 - All the young kids that are still on the horse have had their horses bred with cheetahs that have lungs equal in capacity to a beluga whale. I, on the other hand, have a three-legged pony that has had a lung removed due to cancer.
That's about all that you need to know... The rest was all fart jokes and talk about my time growing up in the igloo in Canada.
