Music legend Les Paul (born: Lester William Polfus) turns 93 today. Having made a name for himself as a guitarist and musical innovator as early as 1941, Les teamed up with Gibson Guitar Company and in 1952, released a solid-body electric guitar that bears his name.
The Les Paul guitar became a staple instrument among discerning rock guitarists in the 60's and this legend continues to today. A short list of musicians associated with the Gibson Les Paul include Jeff Beck, Peter Frampton, Jimmy Page and Duane Allman.



So here's to you LES PAUL... HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!
