(because people keep asking)
Once upon a time... when the internet was still new and fresh... a somewhat "perfectionist" girl set out to develop an online persona that told people WHO she was without become "one of the crowd"... a name that would allow her to remain unique throughout the years...
In her quest to find a suitable name, her friends suggested many (Bubbles, SweetSerenity, SassyPants, FriskyFeline, etc.). All perfectly good names, but that were in her opinion not "perfect" for HER. Some thought that she was being too picky and too much of a perfectionist. But, this girl knew that the man of her dreams would be searching for her, and he would expect her to stand out from the crowd. So, her search continued...
One day, as she was walking through the mall with her friends, not even thinking about her "online image", one of her friends commented on her being "perfect", to which she responded, "I am not perfect... but almost". That soon became the "focus" of her soon to be online persona.
Names started flowing through her head... "Almost Perfect" stood out from the rest, but was just not quite unique enough for this girl. So, she started playing with other languages. Finally, she stumbled upon "Tova" which is a Latin prefix for "perfect, or good". She loved it! Progress was being made!
Upon further search, she found another Latin prefix ("Quasi") that meant "almost, or sometimes".
Then she had a new dilemma... everyone knows that you cannot combine TWO prefixes to make a word.
So, her search continued... but in her heart, she kept going back to the two prefixes.
She tried to reason in her mind what her heart already knew... they sounded so "perfect" together...
Then, one day she asked her friends what they thought... and they all agreed with the fact that she had always been a "rulebreaker", and that the name did indeed suit her "perfectly".
She has since been known as QuasiTova (and sometimes just Tova or Q or Q-T) to all of her friends both online and off ever since.

think you should have made those that were interested in you, do a little searching to find out what your name meant. those that uncovered it, would have shown initiative, intelligence, and interest. or not...

True, but...
In the almost ten years that I have had this name... only two people have ever even come close to figuring it out. I get tired of answering the same question over and over...

Tova-rific!
Now the boring bit!
It was Lewis Carol (nee Dodgeson) of Alice in Wonderland fame who came up with the idea of putting two words together and making a new one. This was (Or so it is thought!) the inspiration behind the poem Jabberwocky
Obviously Twas was originally 'It was' brillig would be 'brilliant light', I will leave the rest to the reader to work out.
Note that chortled is now a word with a commonly understood meaning but was invented by Lewis Carol in 1871!
