You've already heard the news from Cartay. The death was a hoax. I am the one who first informed you all of the death of Joy, Justlkn853. I can only say that I apologize as I was mislead along with everyone else. Right now I am too pissed off to say anything else...yet!!!

All I have to say is that this is all evil, faking your own death, or announcing it, just horrible.

Ugh! Faking a death on the net is nothing new...its happened before and will happen again...but faking cancer? That's really low. I heard tell of one person that once said she had breast cancer, when in fact she was suffering from a botched boob job! The lowest of the low...that's horrible! There are so many people out there that are valiantly fighting cancer, and to have somebody fake it just for sympathy...oh I can't say what I think of people like that!!
I'm so sorry you're having to go thru this

This is very sad and sick behavior. You tried to do the right thing and instead got kicked in the teeth. I know it can be frustrating and disappointing when people fool you, but it truly is THEIR problem, not yours. Hopefully, you can work thru this quickly and let this go.
Hugs!!

Some folks will do anything for attention. It happens on other sites as well. I suppose we should feel pity for them. Better yet- get them some professional help. Sheesh!

About 16 or 17 years ago I broke up with a live in girlfriend named Cora. We remained polite to each other after the break up. I ran into her boss a few months later and he told me Cora had to leave town for a few weeks because her Father had died. I met the old man a few times and liked him. I felt sad. A few months later I ran into Cora's sister and expressed my sympathies on the passing of her Dad. To my surprise her sister said her Dad was alive and well. I wonder how many other lies Cora told to me and to other people who trusted her.

I just read Cart's blog. I am appauled that people act like this to gain attention.
I went through a time of thinking I had cancer, a few months ago, and know how devastating the thought of it was. I believe that what we "put out there" comes back to us, ten fold, minimal. I hope Karma doesn't come back and kick her ass! ....(or do I) ..nah' .that would be wrong.
You didn't know, .. you're a good soul.

I kinda feel sorry for her that she has to wonder if people care or not. What a life to have to be living thru to feel whether or not anyone loves you. Having said that, I feel life is what you make it. I'm sure she didn't need to fake a death to know at least someone cared about her. Now even those that did care are thinking twice, all she did was ruin that relationship, it served now purpose. None at all. Poor soul will be left even lonlier. It's really too bad. tc Lost

EF, imagine being on the phone with the person you're talking about, crying 'cause you feel so bad for her, then learn the truth. Yep, that was me But stand by that so called friend until she tosses you like mouldy salad. Being duped is heartless and cruel.... I commented on CartCart's blog...but what I want to say here is Blue, don't beat yourself up over this... it wasn't your fault even if people love to shoot the messenger. Hang tough!

Welcome to the world of ON-LINE lies. Everyone on here has been hit with scammers from overseas, and they are easy to spot. Trouble is, scammers that are domestic are not so easy to spot.
If they are just gaining attention, it's wrong, hurtful to others, etc.,,,, and they may need some profesional help.
If they start asking for money, to help with the bills, expenses, etc.,,,,they are domestic scammers. Flim flam con artists who manipulate the good intentions of others, to their own ends.
I have had it happen more than once on MD, where someone is in some kind of pickle, you read their posts about their problems, offer advice, etc. etc. etc.,,,,only to have them come back at some point and ask for a check,,,,,because it's an emergency.
Do not mistake the aquaitence of the on-line persona with true friendship, and never, never, never, send funds. If all they wanted was attention, then lick your wounds, and nurse your pride, but let life go on.
Good people always come through difficult situations.
Blueschic - you always have a uplifting word and message, and no apologees are required. You just do what you do,,,,,

Thanks for all your comments and for understanding. I don't know what her intent was. Supposedly it was to find out who her true friends were. Sadly she has lost all of them. What a sick mind. Hopefully she is reading this and will seek professional help as she desperately needs it.
