My mother, recalling many fun memories of stick horses, deicided to buy my girls one of their own. They loved them, they would not get off of them for nearly two weeks. Thats right, six bucks for two of them, now named Brandy and Princess. Who would have thought children would like something like this, cheap inexpensive healthful fun? Well my mother decided to tell the girls no more horses in the house, a logical response I am sure you would agree. About ten minutes ago, my youngest just came riding through on a fly swatter, you know swat end up handle down, making horse sounds all the way. She is twenty months old, and seems to have quite the imagination. Just something to think about before you plug in another vtech or leap frog into the t.v. try buyin' them something plain and simple for a change. Like a stick with a horse head impailed on top of it. Just a suggestion.

You just have to love kids.
I'll never forget when my older one put yellow Playtex gloves on his feet and announced he was Big Bird.

Way cool! Watch your kiddos carefully---they are our teachers for relearning how to play.

My mom and a neighbor made us stick horses when we were young. Painted them brown and white, had white yarn hair and leather reins. I loved mine. Not sure where it ended up though. Wish I still had it. Memories!

Too cute...
I bought my daughter a few years ago, one of those stick horses, except the stick is all plush and covered in brown velvet and the horses head is plush with along mane...It plays a few "riding songs"...She called it Oscar...
It is 4 years old now and still gets brought out for her and her friends to play with. Best Christmas I ever had was watching her go to sleep Christmas Even night with that horse in her bed.

This reminded me of my kids and how they rather play with the boxes instead of the toy most times
... building cardboard houses etc and riding around on broomsticks running and PLAYING instead of being zombiefied in front of a video game
