Uptown Girl
Uptown girl in a cotton wool world. with a set of disposable rings.
She dreams all day in a rose tinted way, and it’s all about castles and kings.
And she knows what she wants and she gets what she sees,
As you wait in the line, ‘til it’s your turn to please.
And you do what she wants, you get down on your knees,
You’re a Pawn in a game and it’s her turn to tease.
So she takes what she can but you’ll have to pay,
As someone else comes along and leads her astray,
So you’re out of the run and you’re feeling abused,
But it’s the Uptown Girl who’s being used,
In her cotton wool world with disposable rings,
Where she dreams all day about castles and kings.

You know, I was having trouble finding my copy of "My Special Miss"....I looked everywhere and still no luck. Then, a couple of days ago, my daughter was collecting her journal to take to her therapist.....guess what fell out of the middle of her journal? She loves your stuff, Missy. I might have to buy a second copy!
