As you may or may not be aware, I have been locked away since my return from Florida
Working on what will be my seventh CD.
At present, I am working on a song entitled
“fear” , in which I take shot at society from the inside- inspired at first by a crystal- clear moment on a New York city Subway train, and finally in a larger scope.
There was a period of time when I was a part of the New York underground. I was a hustler on the procurement side of the commodities market, and I worked very suspect hours if there is such a thing in New York City.
I can remember one morning boarding the train home after a night at work. I have to tell you that I was very dirty, my clothes soaked with soil and other compounds. I can imagine that I was quite a site to the suited-riders on their way to work.
I was in a particularly good mood- I had just worked a little over four hours and I had netted over seven hundred dollars- a good night in any business, yet I couldn’t help feeling that my co-riders’ avoidance. Once I thought about it though, everyone avoided
one another.
In a perfect world, my subway car would have been filled with conversation, people discussing current events and our problems as a society.
There was occasional laughter, and a general feeling of optimism about the coming day. This was America.
I am so excite about this new CD. It is without a doubt the most sincere music Ive ever done. I cant wait to share it with you.
