Recently, I’ve seen more and more “adds” (what other name would fit?) from alarmists, and alarmist groups, urging us to stock pile anything from kerosene, to baby formula, to water filters, to feminine hygienic products, to handguns and bullets. LOTS of guns and bullets, it seems....
Very scary. Very alarming indeed.
They believe in soon to come chaos, but not in “the end”….
Since they, the alarmists, are determined to “win” over the chaos (by killing everybody who gets in their way), they don’t think they’ll come to an end themselves, I presume….
None of the lists I read included the Bible.
Yet, chaos and the end of the (this) world are described in the book of revelations. Only, according to the Bible, it’s not exactly those with the big guns and a lot of bullets who will prevail…
So….. you, of little faith…. I’d rather have my Bible and nothing else, than the truck load of stuff you describe on your lists….
(Disclaimer: my personal believe is that we are not anywhere near “the end” of anything, except maybe common humanity and general decency… .) .

Count Me In , Bible in hand, my sins behind me my savior is waiting. No longer held back by my chains of sin. Amazing grace has set me free Bad old has no hold on me. Oh lord my God I wait on thee. Your death your blood has set us sinners free

When the chaos arrives,,,,, if it does,,,,, I'm sure that all the stuff put back in reserve will serve to attract the hordes of evil to them. Then what are they going to do. I can see it now,,,, hundreds of cycling women on the war path for mydol and tampons..... I suggest getting out of their way.

Some of your fans and admirers may not like this.....
They'd probably rather see you armed to the teeth, and dragging a semi full with supplies behing you. .

Ginstl...
Interesting point...
But the way I understood the "alarmists" blogs and stuff, it is to fight the chaos, not any kind of "infideles".... They did not talk of a religious war, but a "have's" and "have-not's" war....
then again.... I might just be an ignorant blonde....
Besides... the Israelis are Jewish and the blogs and articles I referred to are (almost certainly) from Christians, American Christians.... Therefore, I don't really see the connection.... .

Just like Obama said the people in fly over country cling to their guns and religion (Bible) To quote the Chaplin in WW II "Praise the Lord and pass the ammo" I will predict that tomorrow we will be one day closer to the end.

I'm thinking the End deal is about what the scientists are saying right in 2012? It doesn't have alot to do with religion, or is this something different? With the polars and something happening with the earth the second time in 13 thousand years with it all shifting and all. Just don't be standing near any tall buildings . tc Lost

Apostasy.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Take a look around you today and what do you see relative to the above.

I think Longs quote pretty much covers my thoughts on the subect.
That along with the wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and famines, kingdom rising against kingdom. It applies.

LongRanger and Jayej...
I know, and it is very true.
But the Bible predicts also a lot of disasters, natural and man made. It predicts starvation, poverty, men becoming beasts, etc.... if I'm not mistaken (I don't have the time to look it up right now, but will tonight....) Yesterday, I had a discussion with a friend about all this, and she said "look how bad it is here, and with the economic crises it gets worse by the day... just like the Bible says..."
But I disagree on the "bad" part. I've been traveling in under-developped countries. People here have NO common idea of what "bad" really means.... They don't know what real starvation is, or lack of drinking water, or lack of ANY medicine or medical attention.
Most of the people here have never seen how man can turn into a beast for ONE bite of food.... how people become robbers (not just thieves) for one dollar.... or less than that.... No, it is not that bad yet....

additional comment from jayej:
It doesn't say it will that bad everywhere. It just says it will be that bad, and as your point out, it is that bad in alot of places.
The part that concerns me is I don't think we in the US have the snap to face what other nations have faced. Men can turn into animals when they are starving. I think that is also why Josh believes in the coming chaos. We are such panty wastes anymore. Way, way , way to comfortable.
It can disappear, overnight, I don't have faith that this nation is ready for that. We can't even help a woman off a hospital floor.

additional post from "imlost2" :
And we all know if we are to believe in Revelation it's going to get worse, it won't matter who is in the White House. More wars are coming, more starvation, economy is to get worse, weather is getting worse, earthquakes, expect everything to be worse than now. Of course people will continue to blame it on the Government, just like they do now. But, if you believe in Revelation, it said this would happen years ago, why do people believe in the front half of their Bibles but not the last pages of their Bibles? How can one believe in half of their Bible, I can never understand this. You either believe in it all or none. tc Lost

why do people not believe in the book of revelations?
Because it's unpleasant and scary, I think. I read it once and am not ready to re-read it..... too darn awful.
But that doesn't mean I don't believe it.... .
