In one week I will be home, back in dleightful Kent, back with Jools and our three demading cats.

There are times when it feels like I will be here on this ship forever, and yet times when i know the days and weeks have flown.

We are now in the phase of the trip when we are waiting for final plans for the crewchange, and most importantly the flight details to get home.

There are milestones that we pass each week and day which we know brings us closer to us going home, and this final weekend is just about the final of those milestones.

It is possible to have the crewchange any day from Monday onwards, but Wednesday is more likely. But that doesn't stop us hoping like crazy for bad weather, tornadoes, hurricanes over the weekend to bring that crewchange ever closer.

Being so close to home time makes time go slower, and the thought of six more days seems like an eternity. But, we know that time will pass, and soon enough we will be heading into port for the last time.

We just want to pick up the importnat part of our lives, our relationships, our friends, our loves. And that day cannot come soon enough.

At least we are having our port call in lovely Bergen; with all the delights that we have come to know and love. Which bar shall we frequent on our last night? Or should we just chill in our hotel rooms and save oursleves for when we are home?

Flying out of Bergen means being back in Blighty by lunchtime, and so avoiding the traffic on the M25 like in the past. And avoids the twin propped death machones that pass for commuter flights up here. I may be exagerating about those; but until you have taken off in a blizzard from an ice encrusted runway, skimmed over mountain tops and then landed in the same bilzzard on a runways cut into the side of a mountain, coming to a half in a cloud of snow. But then it is summer, and it may have even been enjoyable.

We are heading south, and it almost got dark this evening, the sun rose a couple of hours or so into a clear blue sky, and turned the horizon into pinks and purples. Not bad.

Yes, soon be time to go home.

Hi, I just popped in before heading to bed. Good to see you, Ian. Soon you'll be home and soon I'll be winging my way to Stockholm. I think our return flight home is departing from Bergen....

I'm really getting excited...Here you're traveling all the time and I feel like a bird with clipped wings...can't wait to see what's out there. (I can do without the long lines and airport aggravation, but that, unfortunately, comes with it.)

Your beautiful descriptions have reminded me that I have to get some extra batteries for my camera. I already have the chip so I can take all the pix that I want.

You'll be back home soon, sweetie....enjoy your times with jools....AND the cats...

Fondly,
JUDY
