Sometimes I’m a thought waiting to happen. I can be watching my darlin' play video games, and BOOM! I get a brainstorm that could drown Toledo (just a town that popped into the brain, lol!)
I had been thinking about gas and how much it was going to take to go to a town close by, to visit the clinic there. It’s a sad thing when 20 dollars only puts 5 gallons of gas in my car. Luckily, it will bring it up to 1/2 a tank, and she doesn't guzzle it. On a limited income, however, we have to nickel and dime things to get through the month. No biggie, I’m used to it.
Then I was thinking about the price of food. And of all the contaminations that keep happening. On the contaminations, is it coincidence? I think not. I mean, hell's bells, I grew up eating tomatoes out of a field and didn't get sick (I lived in California too at the time). Nowadays, there are just too many foods getting contamination for it to be an accident. Maybe it's a ruse to raise prices, like the oil companies do for gas. I don't know. But it made me come to a conclusion; next year, we're out of this apt and into the country, where I can have a garden of my own and grow my own veggies. And I can get a tomato off a vine and eat it and not worry I’m gonna be in the ER later.
I went to the store yesterday and looked at the sale ad. Hmmmmmmmm, hostess donuts in the bag, on sale, 2 for 5 dollars. A deal? Considering last week, they were 2 for 4 I don't think so. Do they think we're stupid? That we can't remember a week ago? (Well, sometimes I can't, but not this time) The manager said it was because costs had gone up. I don't buy that. Someone, somewhere, is out to take advantage of the people and stick it to us. Not me, I don't buy 'em anyways. But I think it's just wrong.
I then got to thinking about how some parents do not control their children. In the apt complex where Paul and I live, there is one teen-aged boy who loves nothing better than to pull crap and annoy us all to hell. I’ve had my windshield shot at with a bb gun. Oh, his mom said they have one, but it's in a closet and not being used. Hmmm, that's odd. Paul saw her grandson with it, standing by our apt window aiming towards the cars. The hood of our car has been keyed badly. And amazingly enough, this only happens when her son parks his truck next to our car. We ended up calling the cops and filing a report. God I can't wait to get out of here.
I then went on to calling the golfer Paul was playing against on the game a few choice words (does good to vent, lol). Turning to him, I just watched him grin at me and again thanked the good lord that he brought Paul back into my life. These past few months have flown, and I’ve been very happy. I’m blessed with a new family member, sugar. She’s a fixed female cat that had been declawed on the front paws. She’s charcoal gray and Baby is basically white. Great pair. We were worried that she wasn't going to work out, due to her hissing at the men in the apt. I was fine. Guess we fixed females stick together.heh! But she's settled right in and is now a part of our lives. And Baby has a playmate. They make Paul and me smile and laugh a lot with their antics.
Which gave me my final thought before it was my turn to battle the evil golfer, even with the money, neighbor, and miscellaneous problems, I’m one blessed gal and I am thankful for that.
Life is never easy, but it sure can be interesting.

Your neighbor's son sounds like a little idiot. Whenever you move I'm sure it'll be better. You'll like having a garden, my mom has one and we have fresh cherry tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers and other things all summer long. It's nice. And she makes chow chow with all her green tomatoes
