I hate shopping for shoes . Dress shoes, work shoes, any kind of shoes.
lately, after coming home from work, my feet were on fire. I'm sure walking on a linoleum covered concrete floor all day is not good for my poor old feet. I had been wearing New Balance shoes , $80 plus bucks a pair, plus another 15 bucks for inserts ( I have funky arches) was bad enough. But after a customer noticing the pained look on my face one day advised trying a shoe I had never heard of... SAS. Made In America Folks ! After puttin' on my whitest socks (no holes ) drove all the way to Manchester yesterday since these shoes are apparently hard to find, Not a wally World special mind ya.
Got to the shoe store, saw the shoes on the wall... hmmmm not too bad looking.... tried on a couple of pair , thought..... again...hmmmmm feel pretty darn good.
Got to the register to pay..... with tax... 147 bucks!. WHAT?

I damn near fainted !
Told the lady that the damn things better wash dishes and sweep the floor for that price.
Oh Well.... gonna wear them to work tonight, will keep ya'll informed as to whether or not they're worth the money

Those are good shoes Sis.. do what you have to do to take care of your feet.. it will help your back alot too.. maybe it will save some of that cash you have to spend at the chiropractors office when your back bails out on you too

I wear NewBalance with custom-made 500 dollar supports......
Concrete walking is definitely hard on the feet I'm setting mine on the kitchen counter in a bit...
Good luck....and I'm no shopper, either!

Well I'm sure they will be easy on the feet, so they are probably worth it. I love shoe shopping, when they are on sale!

I've worn SAS for years but now they are not comfortable. So I went with New Balance. Last time I shoe shopped I ended up with a pair of Nikes that fit pretty well. I hate the way my feet hurt at the end of the day. And always trying different (and expensive!) shoes to find a pair that is really good, is not an easy task. I rarely wear dresses anymore. They don't go with the New Balance or Nikes! LOL

I love my new balance shoes.... .........when I go exercise....I have to wear the right kind of socks...hoever.........is key... ...no slip and slides or bunches anywhere when you are walking fast ect............however those shoes are excellent... as well............they maybe alittle bit of money.........but.......when you think of it.........if you are on your feet all day long for an activity................ your feet well..........we depend on them to carry us everywhere...........and the amount of pressure they go thru everyday............I think they are worth it to by a good shoe........... your feet desserve them .......They last long too........

Remember to wear the right socks

I found that Hush puppies were best for my feet when on them for 8 or more hours.

Let us know how these baby's work out for you. I have high arches as well and you know what, $147 isn't that much to pay when you think of the alternative.

WoW.
I am sitting here right now with my feet KILLING me.
I've been battling a bad case of plantar faciitis for several months now.
Cortisone injections, shoe inserts, night splints....I'm ready to chop my foot off!

I hope the new shoes make YOU feel better....I look forward to your report!

Well Ya'll.... the shoes felt great

I still have to use toe spacers between my big toe and the next and between the little toe and the next..... but no burning at all and the plantars wart on the bottom of my foot didn't hurt at all

I feel like cuttin' a rug
