After a year and half, my life is turning around right. The last 18 months have been a life of hell. I've fought my way thru the conflicts tho, and all is finally coming back to bless me. One just doesn't know what it's like to experience a job loss, a disability, and grieving loss of a loved one all in one year! Not unless you have gone thru it can you understand. However, life has turned around for me finally. I hung in there to achieve unemployment, got to the hearing stage, researched my appeal, and won my case all by myself!! It took me 10 weeks, but I've finally won all the back money owed me.
I was so blessed during the process with people offering their assistance either through emails, financial, or whatever lifted my spirits. I remained patient repeating how "God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him." I got to one point and prayed "OK, Lord, I'm waiting - can you speed this up a bit?".
What I want to say is, if you're in a situation where you think there's no way out - don't give up. Just hang in there! You have to just be patient knowing your higher power will provide for you somehow. I received money to get by in so many different ways! You just have to trust God, or your higher power, will bring you through it. He never puts you through more than you can handle (although there were times I just didn't think I could take another day of it).
Times are hard right now, and many are suffering. This is a part of my life that I feel was a learning experience. I now see why those who went thru the depression hold onto their finances and resources so much now than before. You live in a fear it will be stripped from you again. We just have to push our way thru the hard times, and there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

I know what you mean. I remember thinking at one point about God not giving us more than we can handle. Then asking-"Lord, are you sure you dont have me mixed up with someone else?" It all turned out ok in the end, and Im glad things turned out well for you.

Good for you, sticking with it & getting through it. Your blog reminded me of the sermon last week in church . . . the priest said "You know how people (employers, parents, etc) tell you to 'Don't just stand there, do something!' Well, God is always there & sometimes you should 'Just stand there & do nothing' and feel His presence." In today's rushing, obstacle-filled society sometimes it's good to stop for a moment, reflect, & know you're not alone. Congrats on your accomplishment Kayla!

I have always admired your spirit, intelligence, and perspective. It is the combination of all of these that gets you thru.

Sorry to hear you had to go through all of this. I hadn't been keep up with everything in here. And yes, I DO know just how much all that is to deal with in a year. Sure teaches us not to ask, "How much more Lord?" doesn't it!!!!
I'm very glad to hear you are seeing light at the end of the tunnel -- isn't it wonderful when you find out the light IS NOT a TRAIN!!!
Blessings
