You know them Dems promised to address 6 major issues back in 2006. Funny, mostly issue's they themselves and the pack of wild dogs that follow them created. Let's see;
Honest government and leadership;
" We are committed to immediate change to lead our country in a new direction ".
Were going in a new direction yes indeedy, south.
Energy independence;
" We will create a cleaner, greener and stronger America by reducing our dependence on foreign oil, eliminating billions in subsidies for oil and gas companies. "
and create billions in subsides for those greener company's. The industrialized world creates 1.67% of the total greenhouse gases. The rest, mother nature.
Health care system that works;
" We will join 36 other industrialized nations in making sure everyone has access to affordable health care."
I wonder if that's the same 36 countries that have the highest unemployment of the 36 industrialized nations. Better yet, I wonder if that's the 36 that don't have enough doctors because they keep coming to the United States to work in our failed health care system.
Real security;
" Democrats have a plan that is comprehensive-- from repairing our military, to winning the war on terror, to protecting our homeland security."
Humm, I wonder if that's the same blanket of security Bill Clinton gave us with North Korea, Iran and some guy, what's his name?, oh yeah, Osama Bin Laden.
Economic prosperity & Educational excellence;
" Democrats believe that the most effective way to increase opportunity for our families is a high quality, good paying job."
Huh, I wonder if that's the same good paying $130,000.00 part assemblers and janitors that brought down the Automotive industry. Educational excellence? I want what these people have been smoking.
Retirement security;
" Democrats believe that after a life of hard work, you earn a secure retirement. "
Wow and here I thought that was my responsibility not the governments, boy what a country. I wonder if that secure retirement is before taxes. Then again, keeping with the democrat ideology will just make the company's pay for it.

I remember when they celebrated with glee when both houses were won and many promises were made too, all went downhill from there. Now all is blamed on Bush. Hell, he cannot sign a bill if it can't pass both houses to get signed. duhhhhh. They say It's Bush's administration, ummmmm people wake up, Bush's administration is the Democratic house and senate, hellllllooooooo. My favorite saying is: If you find yourself in a hole the first thing to do is: stop digging. Admit its not working, find our own resources here at home, forget those arabs. Everyone has their own opinions, but I personally think that the two party political system we have now is a major cause of the complaints many people have about government. Everything devolves into a football game of us versus they - the people be screwed!
Somehow, some way, we need to reform all levels of our political system whereby they again become government of the people, by the people, for the people, so they shall not perish from the earth.
The latter is a quote from Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg address. In all fairness, it certainly was not the actual case of either the northern or southern governments at that time, but certainly a goal worth striving for. The South and North were led to disaster by elitist minorities, who put their personal profiteering above the welfare of the nation as a whole. Of couse, that couldn't possibly be the situation in America today, could it?

What clean energy? Ethanol. One thing your going to find with any energy source is damage to the environment. These so called green people are just trading where and how. Trade climate for deforestation, deforestation for nuclear waste storage, hydrogen currently takes more energy to extract then oil. The environmentalist are already complaining about the hazards windmills are creating.
It's unavoidable. Should we explore alternative fuels, absolutely but look at this mess now. The dems and liberals jumped on the bandwagon going in 50 different directions and caused more harm then good. Typical, par for the course with these people. They fabricate issue's or cause them.

I always enjoy comical comments from lefties that only know how to criticize and call names to shift the focus from the issues or challenges ...
Once I thought some would learn, but to this day I am very unsure how they can say these things with a straight face ...
A person would like to think that people are logical: logical in the face at learning the facts and discerning the truth ... but again and again I am proven wrong ... that is the sad part ... I guess I will never understand
