we took in an abandoned pup from a flooded area, looks to be siberian husky/shephard mix. beautiful girl, we call her Rosy. been trying to reunite her with her family, but no one's stepped up yet. finding her another home is proving difficult as well. i'd LOVE to keep her, Holly just loves her, and they play very nicely together, but the sad reality is, my house, nor my wallet are able to accommodate another big dog. not to mention she freaks the cats out. really hoping to find her a loving, forever home soon, but as more time passes, and we become more attached, giving her up will become very difficult. have to see if MAYBE my $$ can stretch enough to keep her fed. time will tell...in the meantime, we'll continue to enjoy our Rosy girl.

sounds like a beautiful dog. Take it to a shelter or advertise in the paper. You can find a good home for it that way. Good luck, hope you can hold on to it for now...

Good luck and congratulations to you.
This story has another moral...We should all have evacuation plans in the event of an emergency that includes all members of the family, including pets.

You could also try this website, http://www.siberianrescue.com/sibrescu.htm, they might be able to help. Some organizations like that will take in mixed breeds too. Good luck. Maybe it was just meant to be for you to have another dog. Not a necessarily a bad thing.
