Apparantly I am a stupid man. Infact, I have the right to be stupid. Thank goodness for that or otherwise if being stupid was against the law then I would be breaking the law. I found out this morning that I am a stupid person from another blog I read. Actually, it is not the first time I have heard that I am stupid, just the latest.
This blogger wrote that, and I am paraphrasing here, that I am stupid for being a christian and believing in God. This blogger also wrote that it is ok because I have the right to be stupid. Apparantly my reason for being stupid is because I believe in something that this blogger does not. If that is the case, just imagine how many people also find me to be stupid.
I do not believe in aliens, I must be stupid to people who do. I do not believe in republicans or democrats, I must be stupid to those people too. I do not believe in ghosts, I guess I am stupid to these people as well. Funny though, I don't think people who believe in aliens, ghosts or are republicans or democrats are stupid. They just happen to believe in things in which I don't. I still love them though.
Why is it that some people can't have a disagreement with other people and keep it civil? Why must they resort to name calling or belittling? They like to stereotype as well, meaning if they find one person who does something they don't like, they accuse all others with the same belief of the same thing. Example, if a certain christian judges that individual, then that individual says all christians judge.
There is no reason to call someone stupid. The only reason to do it is to be mean spirited. In the movie 'The Game Plan', there is this cute little 8 year old girl who says throughout the movie that "stupid is a mean word." Isn't it ironic that an 8 year old gets it but people old enough to be her grandfather don't.

Everybody stoopid sumtime JSY, even the anti-Christ...
Well I've done a lot of things in my life I considered stupid, but trying to decide and dictate what others should think and believe ain't any of them...
Hmmm let me see, last time that dictating thing was attempted in a system... wasn't that the Soviet Union? No Jews, no Christians, no opposition, no Socialists !!!

Forest Gump said "Stupid is as stupid does." I think he's talking about the ones who DO the belittling an NOT the ones who are being belittled.
God said we as Christians would be persecuted...a little name calling is just the start of it. Stay strong...for it is the ones who think we are "stupid" that will be singing a different tune in the end.
PS...you don't believe in aliens?

Of course, the blogger you refer to has only one god.... MONEY, and to his god's right sits who???? Himself, the blogger....
It makes for an extremely "human and kind" pair....
So I'd rather be with the stupid masses. It's nicer here...

I don't know why people that have a problem with Christianity can't just say Christian without putting a name in front of the word like: stupid, ignorant, blind, etc or any other word to describe the person have to assult them. Namecalling has been and always will be a reflection of the person doing the namecalling. Once I see that, the rest of the point they might wish to make goes right down the drain in my book as they have lost my interest and my respect. Namecalling has always been something children seem to take pleasure in I suppose for the effect of it and some adults have not grown out of it yet. Children have not yet developed a sense of reason as to what is right and wrong so why listen to an author of someone who constantly uses this type of writing to get their point across? It's considered childish to me and since I am a Christian I do not consider myself ignorant, stupid, blind, or any of those names they wish to put infront of the name and am totally turned off and do not read abit further the second I see anything like that in a blog, I know I speak for many. tc Lost

I don't think you are stupid. Everyone has the right to believe whatever they want. I have my own beliefs that some may think are stupid, but they are not stupid to me and that's all that matters.
