Any man (or woman for that matter) who is capable of being elected president isn't fit to be president.
Soak it in, folks. It's not my opinion...it's a fact.
I have been amazed to see the venom with which people will defend or vilify another candidate while speaking with passion and literal certainty that they are experts on their particular points of fact.
Can I get a show of hands of the people who have actually MET the candidates they are so eager to thrust upon perfection's pedestal???
Yeah...that's what I thought. About 99.999999998732% of you who bark so loudly about your candidate's moral virtue, intelligence, honor and strength of character have never personally met the objects of your affection. You are making these statements based upon the SHOW that has been designed by the handlers of these mere mortals to get them elected. There is a very small number of people who I have known and worked with personally for YEARS, elbow-to-elbow, that I could honestly defend or promote so adamantly...and I've seen them naked. How can anyone get so fired-up about strangers who absolutely have to lie for a living?
My initial premise was that anyone who can be elected president isn't fit to be president. I stand by it. The art of getting elected to the most powerful post on the face of the Earth includes making friends with some of the most dangerous, secretive and money-driven people/organizations on the planet. They receive favors, influence and funds from individuals who will expect their candidate's cooperation once they are in office. If you are dillusional enough to believe your president is going to be his own man (or woman) with the freedom to make the "right decision" when the time comes, you live in a make-believe land. Big business, big energy and the insanely wealthy run this country and have since before your grand-daddy was a cub. The President of The United States doesn't go Number 2 without the express written consent of 2,000 major campaign contributors. These are people who will have sex with interns. They will parole the cousins of former business partners. They will flip-flop and role on the issue that made you vote for them the minute their butts are warming the biggest chair in the Oval Office. If you can find me one truly honorable former president of this country since FDR...and I know there's dirt on him, too!!!!...then I'll concede my point.
But it's simply politics, and the best liar, cheater, money-raising puppet who can spin the best canned agenda will win in November. At the end of the day, you'll get the best kind of leadership that Saudi Arabia can buy.

Excellent!!!!!!  You just have the correct words to say. I've been trying to get this point across or similar for awhile now. A man is just a man, his mind can only take in so much, and therefore, he has to have assistants to tell him what's going on where and how to answer questions etc. when it comes to running this country. He's not superman, and cannot possibly know all the answers to everything that's going on. He can fake it pretty well to get elected, but he's just a man like you, we are all created equal, the Presidents over the years, are just mortal men. Some a bit wiser, some with easier terms because of no major events happening during their stay in the White House, it makes those Presidents look better. Switch some Presidents around some, and give them problems of today and see how they handle it? I am betting some would flop terribly because of poor advice, and their lack of knowledge of the situation. All of our Presidents were not all that smart ya know. Decisions made by the President have gone over and over by advisors time and time again before we ever hear about the outcome and it becomes public. Thru statistics and theory and study, they know exactly how the public is going to react to his decisions and what the consequences of his speeches will result in etc. and if you don't think everything said and done, is well planned out way ahead of time, you are only being a fool. That goes for all elections and speeches, when you take public speeking in college or even highschool, those are the main points of your speech. To know how to make your point, how you come across, and what affect you made on your listeners, did you make a difference? Then they take polls and tell you what you want to hear so you vote for them. tc Lost
