It seems to me that there are more sad and angry blogs on here now days then happy and fun ones. what is going on? is everyone on this site in a bad mood? I have to say I have even thought about leaving becuase it seems to be so sad in here. Dont get me wrong it is great to come here and vent and cry a little, but it just seems like everyone is have such a hard time. how can we fix it? just leaving dose not really help things much.(unless you are the one causing the pain).
It is not just here on the site this great saddness seems to be every where. it seems that everyone is just so tired of life. at frist i thought maybe it was just me looking on the bad side of things. I soon found out that a lot of people at school that are seeing the same thing. Maybe we all need a big hug and smile. or maybe we can throw a pitty party and get it all out of our systems.

I can't speak for those on Match Doctor who are sad because they are lonely. I have been a monk for so long, I have forgotten anything else. However, I have noticed Americans in general becoming increasingly insane in the past two years, and often setting their lives on self-destructive paths.

I guess what is the root of the sadness is, that as the economy sinks toward a massive depression, Americans are realizing that it was all a lie.

No me! I am always happy! I always have a good day! I have to agree with Etowah. It seems the mass media is painting a picture of gloom and doom.
Here are some examples over the last couple of years.
1. Gas is going to cost $ 7.00 a gal
2. We are going to die if we eat tomatoes
3. The ocean will rise three feet.
4. Asian Flu will kill us
5. Bird Flu will kill us
6. We are headed for another Great Depression
7. North Korea can hit us with missiles
8. Iran can hit us with missiles
9. The rich are getting richer and poor getting poorer.
10. No body will be able to buy a house
11. The U.S. banking system is failing
12. And last but not least - The sky is falling.
Well not in my world. Tomorrow when I wake up, the sun will shine.

Hey! I own a car, I own a house, I have a decent job. I have family and friends. I have my pets. I live out in the country. I'm off for another 4 weeks. Life is good here. Not much to complain about, except maybe the gas prices! LOL

it's called Life.. there are a number of people here that are going through serious health issues.. have lost close friends and family to terminal illness ( I am one of those).. we have a few here that are fighting just to live.. lost jobs.. take your pick.. we blog because we need the outlet for our pain , anger and frustration.. We can't all be happy all the time..

You put it nicely and honestly , I couldn,t have said it better myself. MD never said that it was our job to cheer up the world , To me happiness is a state of mind and today everyone is struggling and sometimes we forget to SMILE. When we leave our homes we try to smile as to make someone else happy . But in the privacy of our home when we can be REAL Its nice to have a place like MD to do that .
A place where we can vent our thoughts, happiness , or sadness knowing someone is out there listening who may also need to know we are all in this world togeather . If I only had to read HAPPY BLOGS I would get totally bored , but I speak for myself.
Obviously you see the real world and so do many of us . Sometimes its good to be a realist. Isn,t it ?

I wrote a sad blog....even titled it as such. I think abruptly losing my friend wasn't something I was gonna cheer about. Sad times are a part of living. Am I a sad person? Absolutely not!

I have never been happier in my life and with my life. Yet events occur that bring sad days. I blogged about it because I have friends here who care about what I'm going thru and they comfort me.

At the risk of repeating myself...no one has to read any blogs that they don't want to. If you're into happy blogs then just read the happy ones. This is my way of staying in touch with friends. When they are having problems, blogs is how I know it so I can return the favor and try to lift their spirits.

Everything goes in cycles and the blogs will return to happier ones...as well as angry ones and all the other emotions that crop up when a ton of people get together in one place. In the meantime...instead of thinking everyone is just having a pity party...a little understanding would be nice............

I believe it has to do with the endless litany of bad news being heaped on people from the media. This notion that "all-is-lost" is getting a bit much to take. I've noted many people retreating to their inner circles and getting back in touch with what does work and disconnecting from the larger cares that so many in the news and government wish you to embrace and become full of angst over.

I do think that it is a half-full / half empty glass scenario and the choice to be miserable, in tough times or good, is one made by the individual. I think, after having witnessed life and death health issues for the last year in my own family, that little things like the price of gas or world chaos just seem to be less impactive than my own little world-dynamics...

I do think it would do to have people walk around with a silly grin on their face and then to walk up to a serious gloom and doomer and say "Ni"...

ok let me clear somethings up here I said maybe we should have a pitty party and get it all out of our systems. I never said any thing was wrong with bloging about the bad stuff i have done it myself, what I said was that it seems that the sad blogs are growing. It seems like everywhere you go everyone is down in the dumps. I was not saying anything bad about anyone just simpling pointing out that we are not alone that everyone seems to be having hard times right now.
thank you to the people that understand what i am saying or trying to say.

I understand what you were trying to say..
I guess I’m part of the problem.. If you read my last three blogs I guess you’ll see why…
And your right, maybe I should leave… When life gets bad.. It is reflected in how we act or what we say and do… Life isn’t all rainbows and roses… However I do see your point… sorry, I just can’t do it right now…. I’m sorry…

Personally, I just like to "vent" a lil sometimes... I am generally a happy camper, and I think that even when I am "griping" about something, I still try to put humor in it. I also think that sometimes I am more inspired to write about something that either bugs me or that I am passionate about, than something that amuses me. Character flaw??? heh heh I donno... maybe! ;-) I think there are a LOT of folks that are bugged by things like high gas prices, the economy, politics, and the appearant moral decline in our culture (among other things, I COULD go on and on about) . Venting, and more importantly, knowing that SOMEONE somewhere might read and agree with it, is rewarding in a way that is almost as good as a good therapist! :-) I donno, just my thoughts... your mileage may vary...

Have a great week, and keep on bloggin!
