The other day, I received a FWD email from a very good friend of mine. Reading this email, it was apparently written by a 14 year old boy who had lost his father in the World Trade Center on 911. His father had been a fire chief for the NY-FD, and the boy had sent out an email, petition for the government to declare Sept. 11Th National Fireman's day in honor of those firemen who lost their lives on that dark day.
I'm not the type of person known to others, as a follower, or a yes man. Although I don't see myself as an over-opinionated person, I believe my opinion sometimes needs to be heard on some topics. So, I sent this email Cc: to all those who were on that email list, that had signed that petition, and here is what I sent. Mind you all, this is just MY opinion. I would love to hear YOURS.
I do agree that the real true heros were the men and women who risked their lives, and even gave their lives to save others. Many of them heros were not firefighters, Police officers, or paramedics ect. Also, I do agree that it is a great idea to have Sept,11Th made a national holiday but, I think it would be unfair, to those who lost loved ones who where not firefighters, not to mention the victims who were not firefighters either, but innocent people. The Victims came from more than 90 countries around the world. The following are the number of people who died at each site: Here is how I broke it down. Flight 11... 92 people on board Flight 175... 64 people on board Flight 77.... 64 people on board Flight 93.... 44 people on board
