Thank you to everyone who has sent good wishes and congratulations to myself and Gregg627 who married this past Monday in Texas.

We met in the chat room in August of 2005, I was shy and being English I didnt understand much of the Americanisms that were typed.. but Gregg translated for me which started off our first encounter of each other.

We took it from there to chatting on messenger.. and in January of 2007 I flew out to California to meet him.
It was an instant physical attraction.. and even though we were aware of the miles between us.. we continued our romance when I flew home to Portugal where I was living at that time.

I never dreamed of falling in love with a man so far away.. but life just happens that way sometimes.

I have left my old life behind, but my family and friends are still who they are and what they mean to me remains the same. I wouldn't want them to run thier lives for me.. the same as they wouldn't want me to run my life for them.. We stay in touch and theres many happy holidays to look forward to... so I have gone to make a life with the man I love and adore.. and they are happy for me.

Long distance love can have it's difficulties.. but if it's real.. then distance is merely a plane ride away...
