I throw a lot of anger at government, and it's time to tell you why. You damn right I’m going to holler at things that are wrong. It’s how things change. I throw anger at women, too, because we should be equal. It doesn’t help that my energy usually brings me tough, mean, dominating women. I make them that way if they aren’t already there. Are you my mother? Then make me suffer.
Right. Government. This one is too easy. They’re having problems and don’t know what to do. You heard George Bush the other day. He’s not putting it together. That’s his job. He’s reciting fragments of what people tell him. He doesn’t represent me. He doesn’t represent you.
Fire him.
Fire his ass.
Fire them all.
Fire all the governments in the world. MMMMmmmmmmmmm… I feel better. Hell. Nobody represents me. I voted once when I was 21. It felt so ugly, dirty, and disgusting that I have never voted again. I didn’t and don’t feel any connection. Nada. Zip. It felt and still feels like a joke, just like Florida in 2004. Show me someone worth voting for who has power that has matriculated within our two party system, and I’ll show you someone on the take. It takes outrageous power to control governments. Outrageous power takes greed, because good people share or give away any excess before they get there.
When do we get to vote on ruling our own lives, instead of letting some crook pretend to represent us? For them, anything short of rebellion is a victory.
You wouldn't want me on jury duty, anyway, because I don't believe in judgment.
Right. Government. You see, the focus should be on the individual. Each individual needs to make his own energy, fly in his own vehicle, grow his own food, raise his own family, heal his own ills, defend his own rights, and dwell in his own beliefs. Isn't that how we evolved from the very beginning? It’s the only way we can love everyone. Don’t we all want to do it all? Do you really want to know more and more about less and less? Do you really like your label?
Government should be trying to get us back there. They don’t have a dream. They are only about power and control.
Where would we be if all the money spent on every power-line that crisscrosses the land had been spent on wind mills and solar collectors for each home owner? Need I mention to include all the power-plants and substations? We would have more reasons to be rejoicing on windy days and smiling on sunny days? Would the earth be better off, too? Where would we be if all the money spent on building our roads would have been spent on making vehicles that fly? Henry Ford tried to work on this, but a good friend died in a prototype and the project was canned. Did he see a better future? What are we looking at right now? Would a flotilla of dirigibles look better than an army of idling semi’s burning diesel? Would the earth be better off, too? Where would we be if all the money spent on municipal waterworks would have been spent on rain collection above each building? Imagine all the pipes that man has laid underneath us over the years. Would we have more reasons to dance with exuberance on rainy days? Flooding wouldn’t be as severe. Would the earth be better off, too? Where would we be if all the money spent on waste treatment facilities would have been spent on waste composting and recycling within the home? Imagine how the garden beds would get richer and richer. Would the earth be better off, too? I could go on and on. It is so simple. Simple like what we should do with insurance. Every penny spent on it is better spent on directly preventing the disasters we fear. Where does fear get us? Who taught us to fear death? Was Jesus really telling us not to fear death? What dream does organized religion have for the earth? Ever read Revelations? Go to hell. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
Shit! Two hundred dollars is one stinkin’ barrel of gas, now.
Right. Government.
By all means, let’s throw all of our energy into making everyone be like us, fearful, defensive, and controlled. Let’s solve all our problems with only monstrous toys and giant infrastructures. Nobody can have anything without them.
What’s up with all the seven ton windmills? Does someone have a monopoly on wind generation now?
Duhhhhhh…
You can love an irrational woman, because the irrational love that she gives you can balance it all out. Unfortunately, a lifeless entity that only loves itself is inherently irrational, all the way to the core. You can’t possibly love it as it sucks the life out of everyone not in their circles.
Right. Government.
It’s all connected, and too much so.
Governments are scared shitless of not existing. Have we gone so far in centralizing that we have lost the ability to live or think independently without it? Can we just give thanks that it has gotten us this far and start heading towards a new direction? Isn’t this the right time?

It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it. [Upton Sinclair]
Genius is experience. Some seem to think that it is a gift or talent, but it is the fruit of long experience in many lives. Some are older souls than others, and so they know more." - Henry Ford (1863-1947) From an interview reported on August 26, 1928.

I did not know Ford believed in reincarnation. Cool!
Now as to throwing anger etc at people or things, you actually IMBUE it with the energy you are throwing at it/them so basically, you are NEGATIVELY charging everything you hold anger on.
Now, how is THAT going to make it any better? As you mentioned, it is basically a law of attraction. What you send out is what you WILL receive. So, basically, you are WANTING to receive those negatively charged situations since you already know the power of your thoughts and emotions. Now then, why are you blaming it on the government when it is people that hate that create the strongest most negative experiences?
Would that not follow that you would want to teach others to project the POSITIVE outcomes they would like to experience instead of constantly reinvesting the negative drama into it? Seems to me like you are trying to put out a fire with gasoline. Just a thought...

Your point is well taken, SE. When should people display justifiable anger at their government? How corrupt, decadent, and deceitful can our leaders get? Is it justifiable anger? Does justifiable anger become positive when leaned against something extremely negative?
I think it does reach a point of justifiable anger when all the information points to a few people who are destroying the world to satisfy their greed for money and power. The anger intensifies when we envision how beautiful this world could be. It’s absolutely painful when a better way of living for everyone is so obvious.
Will soft words tell people how important this issue is? Will rational thinking bring up anyone’s red flags? How should we react to the lies being thrown at us?
Seems to me like I’m trying to put out a forest fire with a squirt gun.

[Copied from Organic Bytes #146 news letter]
Exceeding climate scientists' worst fears, a new global study shows that greenhouse gas emissions are continuing to rise at dangerous, life-threatening levels. Due to growing public concern and efforts around the world to curb runaway fossil fuel pollution, many climate experts have expected to see CO2 emissions begin to level off or decline. Unfortunately the latest greenhouse gas statistics, just released, covering the period of 2006-2007, indicate a three percent increase in climate-destabilizing CO2 emissions. Three percent may not sound like a lot, but this figure actually exceeds the most dire worst-case projections by a group of Nobel Prize-winning international scientists in 2007.
The U.N's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change warns that a temperature change between 3.2 and 9.7 degrees Fahrenheit will lead to catastrophic environmental changes, including massive flooding, crop failures, starvation, and global conflict. Given the new CO2 emissions data, basically reflecting government inertia and corporate greed in large greenhouse gas polluting giants such as the U.S., China, and India, scientists now project, if current trends continue, a catastrophic global increase in world temperature of 11 degrees by the end of this century. The new data also shows the average U.S. consumer generates more carbon dioxide pollution by far than anyone else in the world.
This news comes just days after Arctic scientists discovered that the melting permafrost is releasing millions of tons of methane, a greenhouse gas 20 times more powerful than CO2. The inconvenient truth is that more drilling, coal plants, and resource wars like the bloody occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan, compounded by energy, chemical, and greenhouse gas intensive industrial agriculture, are literally acts of collective suicide. We must make the transition to a green, relocalized, and organic economy ASAP, and help the rest of the world, especially China and India, do the same, or civilization as we know it is doomed.

At SE's request, I've added her reply to my "justafiable anger" reply:
When has hate and anger ever been able to create love or happiness? How many times has screaming and ranting made a relationship better. Instead, if people were to gather and make suggestions to their representatives, you know, ACTIVELY become involved in the government, you would see changes.
Flailing and screaming only begets weariness. No one wants to listen to you when you rant and rave unless they too are ranters and ravers. How many times have you sat on the phone or face to face with someone and you just wanted to get AWAY from some huge complainer. Complain today and tomorrow and the next day and you eventually get into the habit of complaining.
If however, you get in a group of SANE and intelligent people and network for real workable ideas and present it to people that can do something about it, after researching it to see if it is actually doable, then you will change the world.
