or am I just a total naive little gal from Antartica who thinks people REALLY do want to help a gal out?

People who know me know that potato farming takes up much of my life. Aside from that I also work in the petroleum industry for about 30 hours of my week, clean houses on days off, AND plan activities for seniors. WHEW! It's called working 'til I drop...unfortunately I rarely drop So I have a work life and that is about it. So I understand completely when other people put their lives on hold for work and give up that so-called "social life". For me, hanging with my son or hanging on MD is my social life as I can do that at odd hours. What other people do is sometimes beyond me and actually none of my damn business. Well it wasn't.............

I had someone answer a "For Sale" ad today. He popped by and we began talking about how busy the oil industry is lately and how this town is full of HAVEs and STRUGGLERS (there are no have nots....at least not by choice in my mind). We were talking about relationships and hey, we're both single! (ok add a GULP here)

I'm asked, at this point, "If you could pay your rent in 10 minutes and nobody would know how you got the money except you and one other person, how far would you be willing to go? Where does right and wrong come into play?"

I got to feeling a bit uneasy (ok a bit is an understatement) so he rephrased it "What if you had one person so willing to help you out financially, where do you draw the line?"

I have no idea where YOU draw the line but my rent is paid AND I got to keep my computer desk!


I AM KIDDING PEOPLE...... it was at that point I said "Look either you want the desk or not but that is all that is for sale in this house."
I still have the desk.
