I haven't been on much lately, as many of you have noticed. I have been so busy, and my poor body can testify to that! Besides all the cleaning, sorting, pitching, and organizing I have been doing in the house while Duvvy is at work, we have been working outside when he is off. (he works 4-10 hour days) So, 3 days a week, he is working me like a dog! (ignore what Keeno says about him not working me hard enough, since there is still paint on my shovel!)
I can't even begin to guess how many wheel borrow loads of leaves, twigs, and general junk I have raked up and dumped. He has thrown away a bunch of stuff he had laying around thinking it would come in handy too. Of course a lot of it has. We put up a "new" gate out front, and widend it, so we can pull the trailers in and out easier. (ask Tamak about trying to back that big moving truck in there)
We also build a Redneck awning over the deck, so we can sit out there in any weather and enjoy it. That was out of steel pipes he had laying around and one of my tarps. We pulled a bunch of dead limbs out of a tree one evening, one was a little stubborn, so I got on my lawn tractor, and jerked it out by tying a rope around the new hitch Duvvy put on it for me. I also use that new hitch to move the trailers to mow under them. He doesn't have to go get his truck to do it anymore. I have potted a bunch of plants, that we will eventually use around the waterfall we will build. I want them to get established, and thriving first. (its cheaper to buy little ones)
This week end, we put the addition on the deck. We are going to add a bridge on the cornor, and a little creek will run under it, once we get the waterfall done. The deck did cost a little money, but everything else has just been labor. As will the waterfall. What I wouldn't do for a load of INDIANA rocks! People made fun of me for bringing the ones from my yard there, but oh my could we ever use a couple tons more! To buy a ton of "real" rocks down here, its like $600.00! When I could get as many free ones up there as I could carry!
Duvvy also dug all the sod off a concrete pad in the side yard, 20'X20'. It will eventually hold the new shed he built for my lawn tractor. Right now, we have a compost pile on it, along with the dirt he dug out for the footer for the addition we are adding on to the shop. We will use the dirt as back fill for the waterfall.
Here are some pics, I didn't think to take before ones.
The new gate. Notice Prissy Casey Dog in the wagon!

The concrete blocks I dug up.

He thinks my tractors sexy!

The old deck.

Working on getting that paint off that shovel, digging post holes.

Would ja look at that butt! ...err I mean, the beginging of the deck framing.
Some of the plants I have potted. (I planted 8 more yesterday.)
New deck.
Ran out of lumber. Getting more today, so we can finish it.

Duvvy taking a much deserved break.

Casey taking a break.

I enjoyed your "bulletin" and seeing your pictures. Nothing like enjoying the fruits of one's hard labor!
