Billboard Hot 100's 50th Anniversary

Hard for me to believe, but the #1 Song in the 50 Years of Billboard is an oldie but a goodie....Chubby Checker's "The Twist". It's still the only song ever to hit #1 twice (in separate chart runs...1960 and 1962). Probably one of the oddest facts about their all-time top 100 chart is the #4 song "How Do I Live" by Leann Rimes, never hit #1 on their weekly charts.

I first started paying attention to the Billboard Charts 30 years ago when American Top 40 with Casey Kasem was based on them. It was one of my favorite radio shows back in the day.
