No, I’m not referring to the official friend list that we have on display on our profiles.
I mean the “real” friend list, the one of my heart and which is not for your eyes…


The official friend list shows all – or some – of the people with whom I felt close at one time, and maybe still do today. They are also the people who have never stabbed me in the back, and that’s why they remain on my friend list.

The “other” list is about the men who are in my heart…
I would have / could have chosen them for a “maybe match”….
Or at least I would have liked to try.

I would have liked to meet each one of them at some point or other.

We could have seen our smiles other than on pixels.
We could have heard the tone of our voices without static.
We could have gone for a walk….
And to all those places one goes when dating.
We could have come close, and feel….
Yes, we could have dated and “seen where it all goes…”
We could have…
We should have…

If only…
………. if only we were not living so far away from each other.

But since we couldn't and didn't meet….
I keep them on my secret friend list…
…. the friend list of my heart.
