A certain blog this morning wanted to point out Obama having challenges with change because the state he comes from has issues. I tried to offer how that challenge is even more problematic for McCain, given his personal record, as opposed to coming from a state with issues...
And imagine...the response was removed!
I'm so stunned by that!
So...what are McCain's credentials for change?? My perception...
Wouldn't ya think that this whole financial crisis must look eerily familiar to John 'Keating Five' McCain? Helped set the stage for the loss of billions in the financial exploits of his good friend, Keating, and being an ideologue Repub who despite all evidence believes that if you help the rich get richer, it will trickle down to the people below, fights to deregulate everything that comes his way...
and now...with all the buddies of capital and Wall Street, all the lobbyists and good ol boys who think if ya just deregulate everything you're lobbied for, that the 'invisible hand' of the market will make everything alright, well, after the loss of trillions in home values and bank losses, etc., just like in his role in the Keating Five, he now sits looking at the camera and doing an extreme makeover in hours, moments, to being a populist against corporate greed and calling for more regulation and more legislation about CEO pay...
Always the chameleon for John...changing his religion, his loves, his friends, his positions, (how is one a maverick because 5-10% of the time you go against your herd?) and perfecting the art of seeking forgiveness for his transgressions, many and manifold, just so he can be president.
One might look at Illinois politics, and worry about Obama, but one only has to look at the many contortions and deceptions of McCain's life and know the change he will bring is a change in his story to make himself look like he is somebody now that he wasn't a minute ago...just so he can wear the crown...
Oh...and don't forget...as he won't let you forget...he was a POW...*play the National Anthem now.*

In 2005 McCain tried to pass a bill to look into Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And if he is a good old boy I have to wonder about Biden who has been in Washington about 10 years longer than McCain. I also have to wonder about Biden's son Hunter who is a lobbyist that got earmark money from Obama. Obama is the 2nd. biggest recipient of money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, And he votes along party lines 97% of the time. I wont even get into Rangel.

I keep thinking about Obama's statement that for republicans, it's capitalism for the masses and socialism for the rich and powerful... (simply put, this means we little guys are meant to struggle and climb and fight and do it all on our own while the well-connected and well-to-do can depend upon public money and public policy to guarantee their "share." )
I'm constantly amazed that so many are so easily fooled by rhetoric, outright lies and posturing... and that people's memories are so terrible they've forgotten how we got into this mess.

And now what's going to happen to AIG when they don't have that $85 Billion in two years, we keep throwing good money after bad, it's not working? That is Obama's policy. He wants to take good money and throw it after bad which doesn't work. We need to fix the bad problems once and for all, find the holes in the foundation like McCain and Palin says and get back to basics. What is so hard to understand? Stealing from Social Security, taking from our Defense Department and basically taking from Peter to pay Paul isn't working. Taking from those who worked their way up to get what they have and give to those who don't care to work, defeats the purpose of the American Dream. Why even bother to work? It allows the lazy to remain lazy and gives no incentive to anyone to want to make money if they know the government is only going to take it. Sounds pretty socialistic to me. The American people will have lost control of their own money.Kind of sad if our land of the free is heading in that direction if you ask me. take care Lost
