I find it interesting, anyway, how when someone somehow gets a zinger thrown at them in blogland, people start playing the oneupmanship game.

Even while leaving comments on other blogs, people will continue to reflect on a comment someone else made to them somewhere else on the site....whether it be in a blog, a blog comment or even in email. I've probably referred to this in the past as "beating a dead horse."

Please understand, I am probably just as guilty, on occasion, as anyone else is, so I am not pointing fingers at anyone without including myself.

Let's take this opportunity to remember, people...MD is a site for meeting, matching & socialization. It's a place for making new friends &/or partners, for learning about others & things, it's a place to share joy & sorrow. I've often been accused myself of trying to put a positive spin on everything...and as a rule, I try not to leave any comments unless I can say something positive (again, I am not denying that I may be guilty otherwise). Yes, I know...everything in life is not a bed of roses....

But let's quit beating the horse that was already beaten last nite...or last week...or last month & go forward....leave the pettiness behind. I'd much rather enjoy an evening of reading inane blogs than I would bullying & oneupmanship. Of course, I could just not read at all.....but I'd rather.
