And this is worse than anything Shrub as done to reporters....she is a fraud and McCain knows it....what's the matter McCain? Afraid she might be *GASP* Exposed...

Palin bans reporters from meetings, then relents
By SARA KUGLER Associated Press
Sept. 23, 2008, 12:08PM
NEWYORK — Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who has not held a news conference in nearly four weeks of campaigning, initially barred reporters from her first meetings with world leaders today, but reversed course after they protested.

At first, campaign aides told the TV producer, print and news agency reporters in the press pool that followed the Alaska governor that they would not be admitted along with still photographers and a video camera crew taken in to photograph her meetings with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, who are here for the United Nations General Assembly this week. She also was to meet later with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.

These sessions and meetings scheduled for Wednesday are part of the Republican campaign's effort to give Palin experience in foreign affairs. She has never met a foreign head of state and first traveled outside North America just last year.

At least two news organizations, including The Associated Press, objected to the exclusion of reporters and were told that the decision was not subject to discussion. Presidents and members of Congress routinely allow reporters to attend photo opportunities along with photographers and the reporters sometimes are able to ask questions during the brief photo sessions, usually held at the beginning of private meetings.

CNN, which was providing the television coverage for news organizations, decided to pull its TV crew from the first meeting, with Karzai, effectively denying Palin the high visibility she had sought. But after the campaign agreed to let CNN's producer in as well, the CNN camera crew joined the session.

According to the CNN producer who was let into Karzai's hotel suite with the photographers just before noon, Karzai was talking about his son. Palin was nodding, and asked what his name is. Karzai replied his name was Mirwais and explained that it means light of the house.

The media were escorted out after about 40 seconds.

Campaign aides subsequently announced that reporters would be allowed to accompany photographers into the later sessions with Uribe and Kissinger.

At that point, campaign spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said it was all just a "miscommunication." Earlier, she had said, "The decision was made for this to be a photo spray with still cameras and video cameras only."

Palin has been criticized for avoiding taking questions from reporters or submitting to one-on-one interviews. She has had just two major interviews since Republican presidential candidate John McCain chose her as his running mate on Aug. 29.

On Wednesday, McCain and Palin were expected to meet jointly with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko. Palin was then to meet separately with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

They can't protect her from answering questions forever and the more they do so, the more they make an issue out of it. As one wit in the press corps asked McCain, "Is this the no talk express?"

Another worry for me is the dynamic between Palin and McCain. Note that when she is on the dias with him, he is always behind her. Watch Biden and Obama. They are either side-by-side or Obama is in front. He's the #1 on the ticket and that is how it should be. Why is she center stage?

She is a fraud?? Please, when we are calling people a fraud let's at least try to be fair and balanced. Obama has based his ENTIRE campaign on CHANGE in Washington, correct? But then he turns around and selects a 36 year Washington insider as his running mate! What kind of CHANGE is that? It looks to me like there are some "frauds" on both sides of the fence.

Pro wrestling does it all the time....let's say they have a great talent-(McCain) but he sucks on the stick-(Microphone)...you partner him up with someone who can talk or in Sarah's case...look pretty and distract the viewer to not show said wrestler lack of charisma...and keep the stick away from him as they should have when in Grand Rapids Mich....the Old man said and I quote..."Fish love oil rigs"...get it now...good!

Actually, this is very telling. They know she has gaps in many areas that she can't talk about or on. So, they are schooling her. Alas, she can't catchup fast enough! You can only grasp and hold knowledge in long-term memory....not-short-term memory! It will be interesting to watch her when she is exposed without a teleprompter and her handlers hanging around giving her the info needed to keep her going!

Just remember the faithful, bible thumpers, the 29%..ers, and the sheep will not see anything wrong with her as she stumbles and screws up every answer she is to give. Instead it will be spun to show the drive-by media, Obama and Bill Clinton did it!

Yeah look at the harsh questioning Barack Obama has to field.

Just remember guys there are Republican die hards that will support this poor excuse of a senator and the Alfa Female. However, she can run and dodge, she can avoid the investigator of Alaska, but she will have to come clean on her association with the Veco company and tropper gate. The republican national committee can file all the suits and motions thy want, she will have to answer to the Alaskian Senate. For she is as corrupt as they come from Alaska.
Right now she serves as a distraction for McCain's limit ability or lets say his life hood with special interest lobbist.
There is a difference in companies and groups donating to your campaing and as to the favors you do for them. McCain is for deregulation and look what we have:
Gas prices that have tripled
A failing banking/loan/wall street system
No this is not separate, but the actual trittle down doctrine of the Republican party.
Yes, there will be people that are willing to send their first boarn to Iraq and to lose every thing in the name of their party----very sick -sick sick sick

I don't think its necessary to see her as a fraud, simply someone unable to field questions with any real hold on the larger national issues. While they try to bring her up to speed, so to speak, the handlers keep her from looking inept at the national level.

Hopefully, she didn't blink yesterday, hesitate or anything else that helps her think she is ready!

Maybe it's just there are some things that will be said during the meetings that are not allowed to be made public yet and with her being new to all of this she needs to be briefed first before going public, it's as simple as that. This is important and you don't want any information getting to the enemy that doesn't have to get out. Why does everything have to be about the press and her answering questions? I'm sure there is a very good and logical answer. We will just have to wait and see and not jump to conclusions. There is many a time that information has gotten out to our enemies by mistake and we can't have that going on, especially when it comes to foreign policy. Take care Lost
