I'm sitting here way past my bedtime as I have to be at work at 7am tomorrow, got all of the windows open, all the fans going , reading some good blogs and ,,,,,, sniff sniff
Son of a b**ch..... another damn skunk has left his calling card AGAIN right outside the living room window !
This is the second time in two weeks....
My house stinks, the cats are freaking out, running from window to window trying to locate said smell. Laz wants to go outside (not on your life dog) to locate the source of said rancid smell (he shoud know , he got a direct spray earlier this year )
I have my work clothes hanging up in the bathroom (with the window open)
so I guess I'm either going to be doing laundry late tonight or offend a few folks at work tomorrow

Just another day in Iowa.... and there is also a possum eating old bread in the back yard right now lol

	Stop bitching. Me and my dog got nailed with a full blast when I took him outside. I heard a yelp and then all I remember is the 'fog'.. He runs into the bedroom and hops on the bed. I had to sleep outside for a week. I'm still tramatized. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5G4O5AMSevc

	There is nothing like the perfume of a skunk! Just the thought of it makes me want to get a pair of tweasers and pluck every hair out of my nose. At least when the wind blew that scent would not get itself attached to my nose hairs and tickle the crap out of it as it does it darndest to latch on to each hair.

	I remember having house guests and the dog caught a skunk in the back yard. The windows were open and the breeze blew the stench into the house. It was like a chinese fire drill with everyone running for the door at once. And in case you're wondering, tomato juice doesn't work. I bathed the dog in it and she still stunk to high heaven. That's one way to discourage house guests.

	Ah the joys of nature!!! My mom and dad had a skunk in their backyard and one of their dogs chased it under the deck. Molly didn't get sprayed but Mom said the house sure did stink and that was with the windows closed. What a thing to wake up to.

	When that happens, turn your fans around in the windows. Let them suck the smell out of the house. That's what I used do..it seemed that just outside my window in Michigan was the skunk highway...it happened a couple of times a month.

	We get skunks here all the time too. Drive through the 'atmosphere' on the way home and that smell is in the car for the rest of the night and sometimes longer. I don't know if they keep getting it by cars or just spray....something but that smell covers entire neighborhoods.

	Don't think that ONLY happens in Iowa....same thing sort of happen to me last night. I was really tired and I was in bed hanging out reading, getting ready for bed and all of a sudden.....BOOM, got that skunk stink blasted at me too. I'm also up on a high floor, imagine if I were on the ground

	I never smelled a skunk in my life until I visited southern Illinois last fall. I remember it was a horrible rancid odor, but I'm not even sure I'd recognize it if it happened again.
